right or wrong the general consensus was he finished 2nd because lot's of guys were out hurt hence right or wrong his not being considered as a legitimate contender going into this year.

    Awesome Race!!!

Congrats to Canard on a great comeback.

Jim Holley and Kevin Barnett did an excellent job on the live stream broadcast of practice. Too bad they couldn't take over at Speed. That guy Rutledge was.... just bad.

I think you're taking the discussion a little too seriously, but the thread I was responding to was about Rutledge vs. bimbos, not RC/Emig vs. bimbos.

And if we are having a serious discussion, I'll take issue that RC/Emig really add very much - they have the credentials, sure, but I don't see them bringing much to the table on each broadcast insofar as insight, analysis, or interesting information. I don't sense they do much homework. They're masters of the obvious and cheerleaders, but that's about it. I honestly think one of the bimbos could probably provide about as much real information as they do. People complain about Sheheen, but he is the only one of the three following the action that is on the ball and actually has much interesting to say. If either Emig or RC had to do the play-by-play, the entire broadcast would fall apart.

Nobody has come close to Bailey.

They just need to go with 2 guys not 3.. or now 4.
Emig and Sheehen arn't that bad it is just to much talking with more than 2 people.

I didn't hear anyone mention it on the broadcast, or here on the thread but Tomac ran a 55.27 in the lites main!
That's over a second faster than the 450s in the main and faster than JS's qualifying time.

Were all the cameramen drunk? You'd hear the crowd cheer about something, but they wouldn't even show it in replay.

Thank god for the DVR. Compressed that 4 hours down into a very watchable 45 minutes or so.

Good race. Kept wait for Dungey to make a move, like always. Usual mid-pack douche-baggery. Unusual front runners. Fun to watch.

It used to be so that the privateers and up-and-coming riders could race their SX series in the 125 class and not have to travel all the way across the country.

Now it's rare for a privateer to even make the top 10 in either series.

    Bring back the 125's. :pynd

Even better, the CBS broadcast can be compressed into maybe 15 minutes. :deal :kboom

I'm not being too serious. Just correcting your mistake to my original comment. :D

Your original statement was to a quote from me and in that original quote I did not once mention Rutledge Wood. :deal

So, I'm not really sure how you got onto the Rutledge vs. bimbos thing. You created this. I didn't. Reread my original statement please. I did however create the RC/Emig vs. bimbos and I can understand your opinion on it.

    Settled?

Yep, my bad. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Conclusion: More bimbos, less Rutledge, Emig/RC better than bimbos but David Bailey better than the whole lot combined.

Can someone come up with a better barrier than tuffblocks? They suck! Once one guy hits one and drags it into the track, it takes out 1 or 2 more guys. How many times does that happen per race?

I think those things are there more for a place to put sponsor logos than they are to protect riders when they go off the track. But I agree, they are nothing but a nuisance, especially when they get dragged out onto the track, or a rider clips one and goes down (like RV did).
