Richard, so we can have a coffee together... finally.
Chico is Deep Souf! I'm thinking Crescent City NorCal!
So the question we who didn't go, how's the weather this year.
I was looking at crossing the whole country from south florida, right through the fires and 100+ temps, and decided that was more challenge than I wanted this year.
Hope all is going well!
We are southbound on the 101 and the weather is a cozy 80... Breeze off the ocean is keeping it cool. Heaven!
Here in Salem, hit a dry 86 today. Last several days have been beautiful. Hope it holds.
Great meeting many of you at the rally. Still looking for Boondox and Barley.
They aren't hard to spot just look for a Yellow GS/Hanningon with a very frieatndly Golden Retriever getting pets from everybody at the rally..LOL
We pulled out at 4:30 this morning and are currently in Boise hugging the AC. 103F across eastern OR and into Boise. Tomorrow looks like more of the same, so will start riding at 4 again. Still not sure if we'll duck around the Grand Tetons and follow 20/26 into Wyoming and Nebraska...or SE to Vernal and follow 40/14 to Ft Collins. Looks like the southerly route might dump is into heavy storms in Kansas.
Camped & met a lot of good people.

It was great meeting every one at the meet, I had a great time, hope every one else did as well.
It was great getting the chance to work with David Hough and Coach at the seminar, wish I could have been out on the range in the dirt, looks like a lot of fun was had.
Hey Jay, sorry I didn't visit more, but it was great to see you and Tara. Many thanks for bringing the parts I need for my Scrambler build with you!
The heat and the crowds and the trains at three in the morning were a bit much for me, so I hooked up with a buddy to go camping in the coast range. I left around 330, right after I finished helping Ramey with the offroad sidecar seminar. By 530 we were sitting in a meadow in the cool of the coast behind Cascade Head drinking home brew

Got to meet some inmates at the Rally, including AceRph, who looks exactly like his avatar.
Here's some pics of rigs:
