That is fine, we had some meet us there last year. Echo Park campground Friday I believe is the initial plan.

    I haven't read back for a few days....and I forget most of what I've already read :lol3

Geek said something about mixing up the route this year, I was thinking Friday night might be in a different spot (doing the loop in reverse or something? :ear )

Just bit the bullet and ordered a 4.2-gallon tank for the mighty DR. Last ride, I got 78mpg, so fuel shouldn't be an issue for me, Geek :thumb Gotta love a CV carb on a mid-size thumper!

Wow what a nice day over here, just got back from a quick 20 mile loop of the county roads after school. But it looks as if someone is grouchy about the "moisture" on the front range!:lol3 What ever tracks he makes, remember 5000 is the combo!

With the day I've been having (multiple dead servers).. if I created the tracks right now they'd be one way and end up somewhere in Ushuaia. :patch

Alright, I have started playing with routes to Craig from Longmont. This is my first stab. Eakins, Greywolf, a KLR650net rider and myself did some of this last Fall if I have the tracks right and it is cool moderate riding on 2 dirt sections. My only concern is not know if some sections will be open snow wise at the end of the May. Pipe in with comments, suggestions, taunts, etc.

If you have the time, Steamboat to Craig 90% dirt, on good county roads, if dry. There are two good options, one south comes out at Hamilton, then 14 miles of slab north. The other comes out at CR 18 and Hiway 13 North of Craig, so 7 miles of slab back to Craig. If you are interested I can send you a google earth tracks for either. They can be a pain if wet. You could also to Gore Pass to Yampa and Dunckley Pass(if open) and out to Hamilton. There is also some good dirt on the backside of Wolford Mountain. There are also some that connect Gore to Rabbit Ears, or you could do Lynx Pass to Stagecoach. BUT the snow may cause some issues on those.

When you have time, that would be great. Snow is my concern this year with the late storms we have been having.
