    Fitted a set of Michelin Anakee wilds today , crash bars arrived from nippy Norman . All good to go . Anyone interested ( especially you more experienced guys ) interested in some pre GS safari day trips . I like a lot have a ton of ambition but a kilo of experience and hope some of you guys cant impart some of your experience and wisdom ,Ill go anywhere for a ride (I am mornington peninsula based ) the more the merrier

    If you haven't done the offroad bmw rider training yet, definately can recommend it. It's worth more than any farkle you can buy for your bike.
    Can only hope this enduro thing goes well, fingers crossed.

    Had a passing thought... sign up for both the standard and the enduro. Do the standard on the GSA, and the enduro on the G450...
    After a week on the 1200, the 450 would feel like a mountainbike... lots of fun! And it;s only a couple of days extra on my leave from work anyway...

    Nah, it'll never happen, BMW do not consider the G450x as part of the "GS" family (although the G650xc is)
    Also would need a couple of oil changes over the week... just have all stuff for the week in a rucksack...
