Thanks for the info... Strange that it limited at 111. Reviews all said 125 mph. Guess limiters may have been differently for test bikes, to add a bit more Zing to the reviews...tp

This CB was designed for the Japanese market. I have read, somewhere, bikes sold in Japan have a government mandated limiter. Don't know if that is true but that's what I read. Honda never intended this bike to float over to the good old USA. When so many of us old farts demanded it, the did bring it but left the Japan limiter on it.
    so be it

It's a great bike. I think I may just keep this one

I must admit I am a bit surprised by the lukewarm reception the CB1100 seems to have gotten. It's a beautiful bike, and I would love to own one. When I finally saw it in the flesh, I just didn't like it as much as I thought I would. For me, it would make a great second bike... but SWMBO can't understand the "need" for more than one bike at a time.

You need a wife like mine. She buys more bikes than I do and I tend to be content with what I'm riding but she often says "you need a new bike" :norton

    Yeah I know, I'm blessed.

Man- I really wanted the CB1100.

My wife was simply too against the extra $3.3K over the Bonneville, for a third bike. I have no regrets with the Bonneville, and enjoy the crap out of it, but I appericate what Honda has done with the CB1100.

Someone in my general area has one, and everytime I see it buzzing around....I simply just stare at it like a creepy-stalker.

I have 3000 miles on my CB. I have only checked fuel mpg 3 times. It's always between 46 and 50 mpg. 3.8 gal tank so you do the math! :deal

To quote the press packet: "You can expect the nineT to be priced below an R1200 R Classic" - which is a hair over 15k as I recall.

Those red side covers just add so much to the Cb and makes it even more beautiful imo. Great looking bike you have. Have you had any issues with your Honda or does it just not suit your fancy since I see you want to trade for the new BMW?

0 issues - I have been waiting for this bike from BMW for a long time, thinking they were not going to bring it out. Well, they are and I am gonna replace my 2nd R75/5 and the CB1100 with it and try to get my garage a little less crowded. I am a BMW guy first, tho this Honda with the Staintune exhaust makes one of the sweetest sounds in motorcycling.

I've owned 2 CB750 K's and still have an 82 CB900F,this bike kinda slots right in between them and seems like a logical upgrade.I just don't know how logical I'm feeling:lol3.I keep saying I'm going to get something new every year, this might be it.

Wow! That looks great. Love the color matched bikini fairing and the candybar seat. Where did you get the fairing?
