If you're tallish you probably won't like the CB1100, it's tiny. I'm 187cm tall, the seat height is around 775 mm from memory and when I sat on one, what with the foot peg position it felt too cramped. The small tank (14.5L) is way too small as well, I didn't even bother taking it for a ride.

Now the Versys 1000, that's a different story. I rode a demo bike for around 120k's, probably the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden and that includes Goldwings, ST1300s, FJR1300s etc. The riding position was just so right for me, the seat so comfortable. The screen was hopeless (lots of turbulence whatever the position) but that's easily fixed.

that's still plenty of omph to get down the road really fast.
this obsession with 2000hp bikes is nuts!

that's one big reason adv bikes are so popular these days, upright comfortable seating and bar position...like the old standards use to be.

unfortunately that's been Honda's problem. they are often way behind the trend curve and then when they release the trend has moved again. where is there big ADV bike???

then of course the other odd thing they do is try and start a new trend and be ahead of a different curve. sometimes it works (nc700x) and sometimes not (dn-01) guess that's the nature of that beast.

I look at this and see a UJM equivalent to the R1200R. Add a flyscreen and some bags, and this would be perfect for touring in hot weather.

Count me in for a red one, also, if they bring it here.

Yeah, Fury was 7 years late to the choppah party. By then it was just ugly chicks and drunks dudes hanging around.

They do need to get their crap together. I've volunteered several times to lead them to glory. Alas, they will not acquiesce. :lol3

They are a little busy making Civics, and therefore, money.

Already on these few pages look at how many "I would buy it ifs" there are.

    Not going to happen.

sweet, i like it. new oldschool.

i would add some lower bars, twin 2 into1's with an upswept tip, and find an ecu reflash asap.

sort of reminds me of a 4cyl norton commando

    why is it pointless?

i never had the chance to own one of the big honda 4's in a standard set up. i would still go for a cb400, cb500, cb550, or cb 750.

if the cb1100 is following in the same foot steps, sign me the hell up. would make some changes for sure, but i would like the bike.

do people not see the oil cooler (the thing that looks like a small radiator)

so to answer the question it appears to be air and oil cooled which is much more efficient than just air cooling.
