How about the second half of July or the first half of September?

Otherwise we're going to have to move it to Creel in November.

Dave G is here in Madison and he says he'll drag Nata Harli and Thrittlemeister up here. It's up to those three to decide when.

Dave says he and John will bring dirt bikes to play in the dietbike course and maybe do the TWAT.

    Says I, PUI.

I should be back on my way north first of July, likely 3 weeks in Mex. The only other obligation I have is a wedding on 8th Sept. Not sure if weekend of Aug 16th is still on or not. I'm still very interested for this event though!

So are we doing this, or what. When. Or should we abandon the Wisconsin idea and plan instead to meet in Tucson in November and ride down to Batopilas. Or Baja.

Both CC and Baja would create a 'moving rallye/event' with unlimited options available for the different attendees....who would naturally have different tastes and interests.

A good BBQ and drinking party and camp to-do thingy ...or something that that lifts the wings of condors on a pink sunrise soaring through the looking glass...:D

I'll be in Southwest Minnesota August 15-19, so I could easily make it to Wisconsin after the 19th.

Bush Pilot: Whatever happens, LARRwise, isn't going to prevent you from stopping by 22990 Hwy Z, Richland Center, WI. Or the new place on Violet Road, off 171, 2 miles west of Boaz, WI. If you can't find me, ask for me at the Lonesome Dove in Boaz. They'll know where I am.

^Sounds good, I'll see how my journey goes, that's a mighty pretty area around there especially in the summer. The winter kinda sucks up there. I lived in Menomonie for a year or so.

I am going to venture a guess that LARR 2013 is not going to happen. I made it to the first one but have missed all the others due to living in India for a while and was hoping to make it this year.
Not that I have any other places to offer but I bet there would be a little better response if the rally was a little more centrally located. Just a thought. If it does happen and I can attend I would be happy to tell stories of riding in India.

I was offering my place as a default. If there's any interest in meeting up somewhere in another middle-ish of the country, I'll try to make it. Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park is only a quick day from here. What about Montana? A buddy of mine has a yurt.

Technically, the Mississippi River is close to the middle of the US, and the farm is about 45 minutes from the Mississippi.

I stand corrected. It seems without the blessing of Nataharley the rally has come unraveled.

    You are absolutely right.

    Damn that Ken!

If you're wondering what he's been up to, here's what I know: he's eating very, very well.

Please accept my apologies for baiting. In real life, I'm only half as bad as I sometimes sound.

I've asked Misery Goat to take up the LARR organization. Or if anyone else wants it, go for it. It'd be a bummer if the North America based Latin America Riders didn't get together this year.

Nata Harli is back! Long live the Nata Harli!

Sorry, MG, but Ken is in charge again. He'll post up details.

I'm only in charge if who's in charge.

Okay, you FFs, ALARR IV is now officially on. I had to quit my job to get it going but it is now official.:clap

PLACE: Max's Farm :topes (he can give you the details)

    DATE: September 13-15.

Actually, I'm turning in my resignation tomorrow and will probably work a couple more weeks unless they show me the door (which is what I'm hoping happens).

So, I'll be checking in a little more regularly from now on.

One thing I could use some help with is getting the word out. Last year I tried making posts in all of the regional forums only to find out that's a big NO-NO on ADV. So if I could have some volunteers to make individual posts on some of the regional forums maybe we could drum up some interest.

Hope to see a bunch of you on the 13th!

    Mike,

I quit my job just so the rally would be on and you would have to show up. And, this time I'll bring the Ron Zacapa!!!!!

Actually, I think there will also be some of us who rode in SE Asia the first of the year and we, too, will have some <s>lies</s> stories to share.
