I should've followed you guys' lead.
Got outta work at 6p Saturday, hauled ass for 2.5hrs to c-cycle to get the goods, another 2 home, but it all back together and in bed at 1a. Up at 5 to drive 3hrs to Alton, to flat out 1.5m into the second lap. What a bummer.

Good news is, it was a lrrs weekend, so I stopped in to see all my road racing homies. I went to watch the motard race from the t6 grandstands and felt some pangs...then watched 2 dudes I would've been dicing with go down HARD. That sucked, but it put me back in perspective quickly.
And the bike tracks pretty nicely through the gnar-gnar.

That's what I've heard. I need something, anything that will last though. The moosey doesn't, right?

Last for how long? If you use them just for racing they should last at least half a season, maybe more. My view is when we think about how much total money goes into a race ... might as well get the bib mousse so that a simple snakebite 2 miles in doesn't ruin the entire day for you.

Oh, I hear ya, I "aspire" to ride 1-2x a week.
Part of the problem was pressure. Brian says the vees need 15#, I had my normal 12...which was fine with stock suspension. This was my first ride on new boingers with the correct (stiffer) spring out back. I'll give myself another shot at tubes, considering I just bought one.
But yeah, all that travel and rushing for a DNF really took a sizable amount of wind outta my sails.
