I think it was more hype then anything to come down. True by that part of the day your arms are tired. However if I skip Top of the World then I'll be fine as far as going to Moab. I'll lead the Mary's Trail ride if people would like out by White Wash. Then return trip maybe do the UP hill Rose Garden climb...hmmmm Worst case an attempt.

Let's talk about that side trip, so I can build that into the routing.

This would be on Saturday our day in Moab:

It's pretty much get lost out there, end up looking at something like this that only Pablo83 is crazy enough to attempt:
    <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aTroN8zMKbQ?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aTroN8zMKbQ?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

This is White Wash which is a good ways out so a large tank is a must to ride out and back:
    <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ssof09ZnHF8?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ssof09ZnHF8?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Of course getting out there we can go through part of Tenmile wash:
    <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eFCGaUnE9Zs?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eFCGaUnE9Zs?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

How come you lay on the ground for what seemed like minutes when you fall over?

Ok, this may drive your registration way down...but I got the time off...so a tentative in. I say tentative only because one of my kids may bust a tooth out or something. What's the deadline for the check?

I'll open registration after the first of the year. Deadline will be in March sometime, or when the ride is full. We'll cap this ride at 24 riders. Also, I'll need a couple sag wagon volunteers, who will receive some compensation towards gas between Fruita and Moab.

I've been to Moab once, and have ridden up Onion Creek Rd quite a ways, as well as Sand Flats. I've got someone's GPS tracks for the Kokopelli, but am having a hard time seeing a bypass around Rose Hill, which even on Google Earth looks intimidating. Do you some GPS tracks for the routes you are considering?
