This is a three day / three night smaller version of the CAM 1000, but is open to the mid-weight adventure bikes in the 650-990cc class, as well as smaller, street-legal dual-sports. We’ll carry our gear and camp in high-country campgrounds. No sag wagon on this ride.

Is the town in the distance "to hell you ride", as in going down BB pass? Did you all do treks in this area last year at RMAR? How about imogene?
Yes, they were all ridden by some. Obviously the big bikes didn't go off Black Bear and down the Steps, but plenty of big bikes did Hurricane and Cinnamon, etc....
There was a 1200GS in my group when we went down Black Bear!
Yabbut that wasn't pretty.
I'm pretty old, fat, and feeble.....
Maybe if I'd had the skidplate on it would have been better.....
My apologies to you beastly riders of 600+ lb bikes....tackling "Holy Moses" type of descents and climbs.
You guys encompass the spirit and grit of a true adventure rider!!!!!
My wife and I are coming back, it was a great spot in our 90 days on the road in our motorhome. TWO of us are IN I have already made my reservations at Red Mtn. This year I am bringing the V-Strom and my new WR450F for the single track.
You can start making your reservations at Red Mountain RV.....
For that matter, all of the hotels and motels in Silverton are open for reservations.
All I got was an answering machine.

Leave a message but also email them...I think they will jot you down but getting a hold of them is a spot they are lacking....but they seem to not mess up.
I should be in Cabin 3 again ;-)
I called, left a message and number, and they called back next day. Reservations made.
Folks, I think this time of the year, Jim and his wife of Red Mountain are out guiding a lot of Snowmobile tours. It is hit and miss on getting them, but leave a message and email and they will get back to you.
