Pretty much like Merikk said...show up, BS and ride.

There are no official RMAR rides we put on the event you guys find a group and partner up on your own. We will ask for you to keep any groups as small as possible so not to cause undo harm to trails, respect other trail users and what not.

If John happens to take a big bike out of course some can join, if I take my GasGas out some can tag along.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this is not a Harley gathering where we will have ride leaders or captains...if someone steps up looking for people to tag along great...but its not something RMAR does.

I'll most likely be going on a easy Hurricant->California->Animas Forks->Enginners->Lake City->Cinnamon loop 1 day with a passenger on the XRL.

Question. I am attending, but bringing the whole fam. They are not riders. Is there a way to buy meal tickets for Friday, and Saturday, for them, or is it $60 pr. person regardless....????

Yes, all ticket prices are the same this year. Next year, we may update our donation structure.

I know, I've been slacking in getting this made......as usual, one thing or another gets in the way. Anyhow, here is a video from last year's Rally.

It's 7 minutes and 34 seconds long, so make sure you have time to see it all before getting into it.

For those that may be sitting on the fence about going, I hope this video may encourage you all to get signed up and join the fun.

So it's a fee and not a donation? My understanding of a donation is that it's voluntary.

All RMAR events are held in appreciation for contributors at different levels. So if an individual would like to be invited join the Rendezvous, they would contribute at the Bronze level. For an invitation to the San Juan 500 or Quien Sabe 600, they would contribute at the Silver level. For an invitation to the CAM 1000, they would contribute at the Gold level.

    Thanks for asking...

    Semantics.

It's all voluntary. Either you pay the money or you don't, it's up to you! :D

This is an incredibly well organized and well run event. As are all of the events that RMAR hosts! There is no free lunch, these things cost time and money. The fundamental basis on which the organization is founded and run is to help support the people and organizations that are WORKING to maintain our sport.

    Donate to be invited...

I'm not understanding this; pay to gain entry?

Yep that it is, no one forces anyone to come and have fun. Don't like the word Donate then call it a FEE, who cares except you Fe Man!!!

And the work we do to put this on when we don't see a single penny from the event as all monies beyond expenses like Food and what have you all goes towards various trail organizations.

Just to let you know I pay for my own Cabin, my gas, my time coming and so do the other Board Members of RMAR. We are a Non-Profit to the truest sense right now. I think actually I am the only Board member that is getting a cabin on my dime and they are not cheap.

The reason its called Donation is because some people donate money and don't even attend the event. We are a Non-Profit and you can donate when every you want. You don't have to come to donate. Plus I guess no one can stop you from showing up and riding but you are not par-taking in the Diners, Door Prizes and all that good stuff.

Fe Man - Sounds like this event is not for you, you just want to nit-pik the little things. Feel free to call it a FEE *shrug*

Oh and really Lets see what you get for $60:
2 Diners (You probably pay $15 per diner out so that is what at least a $30 value).
1 - T-Shirt (You pay $20 a shirt previous years this year its included)
Unless we have a bunch more people sign up, you should be getting a $20 DVD in the Rally Bags.

So in Total a $70 value that you pay $60 for...maybe we should charge a LOT more. Plus you have a really good chance of winning other door prizes that are worth $600+. So again what is the issue with the word Donate?

I would also like to say THANK YOU in advance to those that always step up to help volunteer for things like cooking or stuffing the Rally Bags. There is only so much 4 RMAR board members can possible do and still be able to ride and enjoy the time in Silverton. Every year we get a great group of people and for that I say THANK YOU

    :clap :freaky :clap
