I'd go with the aggressive, taller knobbies for the reason you pointed out. It's best to have as much confidence as possible.

D606 front and a T63 rear. The rear tire can be found on Amazon for under $70 with free shipping, although you may need to buy two for this. The front costs around $90.

The T63 is a directional tire and in my opinion hooks up in turns better than d606. I'm on my second t63 now. They just don't last quite as long as a d606.

I moved you down to wait list, just in case you change your mind later.

For the front the 606 is a great choice, the TKC is better on road but not as good off compared to the 606 plus the TKC has weaker sidewalls and more prone to flats in the desert.

I am bringing a set of GMRS/FRS radios. Surprisingly, they held up great during a week long bachelor party in London.

They're nothing like HAM equipment, but nice to have as a backup and seems like most people have them/HAM guys can easily use that freq.

Two way radios and a weeklong bachelor party? There must be a story there.

It got out of hand. I showed up jet lagged and stressed out with six bottles of absinthe, the real stuff not the crap you can get in the states or eastern europe. Had to pilot a boat that sleeps eight. Mayhem ensued.

The radios held up great, had to fix one but it was actually repairable, something to be said for that.

I'm looking into putting Heidenau K60s on. More expensive, but get great reviews on the Sertao thread and look like they will stand up well to the abuse. Not so great for sand.

Which rear is more likely to last the whole weekend, the D606 or the T63?

    Hey Ersin,

I went to the movie "Why We Ride" last night and wore my DV NooB 2012 shirt. Ran into a guy I know and he asked me to put him on the wait list.

(I'll keep track of the $$ for all of these!!) So, here's another :clap

    Peter-Neuper-MC3-D3-HP2

I warned him that Joel had a HP2 also, so he was a shoe in. :lol3

The D606. A lot of SCORE Baja racers use the D606 just because they'll take the abuse and last.

Someone told me that 'light is right'!

Hopefully we get off the wait list and get a spot. Can't wait to redo some of the routes from last year!
