All liquor has to be checked in at RV space 9.
Especially tequila, nobody at this rally would touch tequila
And thoroughly tested and approved by the CampGround Host !
All wimmen can hang out at my campsite to avoid the likkered up men...
oh hey, i don't know if this is the proper place to post this, but -
I was just working out trip logistics with Super Suz , we will be arriving together so I can volunteer on the same shifts.
Thanks again for organizing - looking forward to it
I am definitely up for checking out the spring(s). Never been.
Along those lines are ride signups posted/happening yet or did I miss the boat?
See post # 12
There a few up now I think 3 or 4
Many more will be up shortly
Most will be in by the middle to end of Feb
Due to the road washouts that happened in August I need to do just a little more research before I post my noob ride, but I will try to post my Cerro Gordo ride after I get back from the Super Bowl party I am going to
Not sure what to list as a skill level for Cerro Gordo as I have never been there before but that will make it more of an unknown adventure , well at least for me
tahW dluoc og gnorw ?
The main road to Cerro Gordo was graded last year and in very good shape - easy. The ride from the back side - east side is intermediate but might be more difficult depending on the condition of a creek bed you must ride for a few miles.
Miss not being able to go already.
Might have to try a loop
come in from the east go out on the west maybe detour through Darwin if time allows
Wish you were going too, wanted to personally say THANK YOU ! and buy you a top quality drink for hooking me up with an antenna for my GPS after I thoroughly destroyed mine last year
Class act sir I WILL get even with you, maybe next year
I'd like to hook up with y'all on these routes as well.
Hey, you can just do what Lost Rider does and call it a "Beginner Noob" ride. Then it will definitely be an adventure...:huh
for more info or questions about DV road condition.......this is a good source....http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=912416
cindy and stephen.
last year, rider914 lead a noobish-intermediate group to south pass. getting to the hot springs is a long day. hope a ride leader will step up, then form a smaller group/pick up the pace and you'll be able to get there and back to camp before dinner (barring flats and breakdown issues).
FOLKS, WE WILL BE CLOSING THE LIST VERY SOON. SIGN UP NOW OR WE'LL SEE YOU NEXT YEAR.
I NEED TO CLOSE IT BY TOMORROW SO I CAN GIVE THE FINAL NUMBERS TO PSR AND CATERERS.
Jimmy Lewis class students
Are you folks riding to dv wednesday night after the class or thursday morning?
Event shirts update...
We have orders from about a quarter of the participants - thank you all that have ordered and paid. My assumption is that the vast majority of event attendees will want the souvenir shirt - it's a good one this year. Each time we post a reminder a bunch of orders pour in so that's why I'm putting up this reminder again. We'll keep doing it 'till we have to cut off orders and print the shirts. We are not going to print a lot of extras, so don't go asking to buy a shirt later - at or after the event because THERE WONT BE ANY TO BUY!
DON'T WAIT - ORDER NOW!!

Most AWESOME ride EVER
I think it was 4 or 5 of 17 went the full distance
However I am going to try for a 100% finish rate
I haven't seen any reports of the Cerro Gordo road that comes down the Saline side. Rumors that it was pretty washed out last July storm
Need to pre ride it before taking Noobs down or up it.
Hey Little Bike- Stoke & I depart from Pahrump thurs am, just started building a route based on Spafxer's input (below, post #418). Glad to have you join us if interested.
Current rough draft (new to me basecamp & Montana ) About 150 miles at a leisurely pace (taking Mesquite Valley / Furnace creek rd instead of Old Spanish Trail) reckon we'll reach PSR early afternoon with time to set up camp, relax and rehydrate...
Coolio!! I'd really like that, thanks!!
Don't forget I'm a noob, let know if it's a noob ride or a "noob" ride.....
*I'm still trying to figure out how to use my Montana too:eek1
