2 out of 10 people in our group went to the hospital last year. That was from the Ironman poker run. One guy racked himself in the first mile, the other about half way through the first lap. Fun riding or racing it can happen.

I decided the race would be the most fun on my YZ250F, but Saturday I'm going to be killin' the poker run on my Honda EZ90 Cub. Does anyone know were I can buy a superhero cape? :D

Thanks again for doing this event. I consumes me all year and lives up to every expectation. This year though, could you text me exactly 10 seconds before you light the cannon? I'll pm my number...

By Saturday, my phone is useless due to the influx of thousands of other cell phones clogging the cell towers. Inland Cellular is working on a solution however.

Good and bad news for me. Sold the house :cry but quit the job :happay That's the good news. Bad news is I will be arriving some time that week and after driving cross country. Never say Never but the magic eight ball said signs point to no. I haven't given up hope yet. If you see a guy with A PA license plate say hi.

Count me as one more ADV class rider new this year! Thanks William for the link and note. I'm seriously excited about the notion of packing my bike, riding it to the event, camping from it, RACING IT, and then packing it all back up for the ride home. I can see that I'll be packing an aluminum bottle of Pendleton for the evenings next to the spare fuel.

I think I can answer that one. The long-running BMW F650GS Rotax single that helped Adventure riding along is exactly 652cc and probably why they chose that cc amount.

In fact, I'm signing up for the first time and riding that platform. It will be on a Husqvarna TR650 Strada/Terra (BMW owned them until recently), a breathed on motor, different suspension, etc.

This will be my first motorcycle "race" ever, but between wbedient's suggestion and fact my dad raced this event in the early 70's ....I'M SERIOUSLY EXCITED about this event!

That's it and mainly the fact that the XR650R is under 652CC
