    yeah...
    Well good for you.

    How'd ja equip it?

A package, or a la carte?

I like the a la carte option, if you can really do it that way.

For example, last years package whatever, might have all that I want, but also includes GPS prep and off road gnarly ride mode. I have no desire for GPS prep including the spinny wheel or off road gnarly ride mode.

    So, how'd ja equip it.
    When ya gonna get it?

Be sure to continually badger the dealer for SHIPPING information.

Your bike will most likely be leaving BREMERHAVEN.

Get the NAME of the ship and you can TRACK it all the way across the ATLANTIC...into port in NEW JERSEY!
    http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/

And...a fellow inmate...DockingPilot...might be actually handling your bike into port.

Keeps us aprised when the 14's starting departing!:clap

What is code 112? Are you saying that yours will be in Florida 4 weeks from build date?

I have a copy of a "vehicle inquiry" from my sales guy, it says actual production date: 8/16/13. Based on this, and what you're saying, should I expect it to me (Florida also) in less than 6 to 8 weeks?

    Thanks,

Production Status Code 112 = Order scheduled for production

Between production codes 112 and 150 you will have a window during which you should be able to make changes to your order...

Status Code 150 denotes that the production has already started at the factory so no more changes to the original order are allowed...

    Hope this helps.

Not a la carte, though they said I could if I wanted to. Doing that would put me at November/December delivery.
Mine (which is already built, I believe) is Fire Blue, with the technology package (ZTG) and Touring package (223).
    I was told 6-8 weeks...

So, what's included in the Technology package for 2014?

Touring, I assume is cruise, bag mounts, and hand guards.

Congrats on the new bike - can't wait for my 2014 TE to arrive, order went in nearly 2 weeks ago and is expected around 3rd week of September due to spoked wheel and alarm options.

Re oil BMW Motorcycle Magazine's Fall 2013 issue has an interesting interview with Jens Staebe (BMW Motorrad Head of Technical Support and Warranty) about some riders reporting separation issues with the clutch (ie the clutch not engaging/disengaging as smoothly as it should). [Paraphrased]: The bike is sensitive to the type and correct level of oil and the only approved oil until further notice is Castrol Power 1 Racing SAE 5W-40 API SL/JASO MA2.

    CODE 111 means.... "order accepted"
    CODE 112 mean.... IMMINENT build

i'm sure others here can give more accurate details (like those who work at bmw dealerships, of course)

if yours was built on 8/16.... it'll be in florida 6 weeks from now
    from germany
    from new jersey
    with customs and all that

    of course.....
ATLANTIC WEATHER WILL AFFECT THIS DATE...
    as you can imagine

    the trip is "BATCHED"
so OUR bikes will be on the same boat, i guess... even though mine will be built THIS week, probably

    Thanks much for the insight.
I'm hopeful on the 6 weeks. I'm signed up to ride the Big Tex Rally on October 18th, and I'll need to get 600 miles on it and get the service done in time to ride from Florida to Texas.

Ordered mine on August 8. Status 112 as of last week.

    My options are:
    Color NA5. Racing Red
    ZTG. Technology Package
    233. Touring Package
    650. Enduro ASC

According to my dealer the only factory option missing are the wire wheels, which I did not want. (I have a KTM 690R for "serious" off-road riding).

I've been told to expect delivery first week in October. :clap
