By chance did your 'ship come in' within the last few days too? My crystal ball is a little hazy and the dealer is providing rectal data...:topes

I emailed the dealer in early January and he said it was built the week before (great - hopefully not by hung-over Bavarians...).
The dealer did return a call today to say that they stil know nothing as of now but may have more info early next week. He said most likely delivery in early March.

    Give me patience NOW!!!!!

Since I know that there are a few people from Tampa and Clearwater in this thread, I just wanted to let you guys know that there is going to be a little get together of ADV riders at Phillipe Park in Safety Harbor this Sunday. It would be great if some of you could make it out there for a few hours and chew the fat and bragg a little.

You have an R69S and live in the Bay Area?

That bike is on my bucket list!

On topic: my dealer had exactly the bike I would have ordered sitting on the showroom floor: Thunder Grey, Touring+Tech, spoked wheels. Called on Tuesday, picked it up Saturday!

Just put down a deposit today on a bike that's in the queue for Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA. Scheduled to be built in late April. It should arrive at the dealer by the end of May -- mid-May if all goes well. Hard to wait... :ddog

Yup. Near 92 and 280. Although right now the R69S is down for repair. I killed another cam and the replacement wasn't quite right.

Somewhat like buying a new GS the only requirement is ignore anything and everything you've learned about the value of money. :deal :lol3

I think by the end of this current round of R69S repairs I'll have more money in my R69S than I've got in my '13 GS.. of course there is plenty of time for the GSA to catch up. And I'm not putting a dollar value on labor. I've certainly spent more time working on the R69S than any GS.

    I'm at 84/Woodside Rd and 280!

I bought a new Multistrada 1200S in 2010 and now a new GS in 2014...and 15 other bikes (mostly used) since 2000. So my values are clearly skewed in the right direction for an R69S.

Well-restored ones can easily sell for the same price as a new GS, so I'm not surprised you've reached cost parity with your two bikes.

Lemme know when your old bike is back on the road and can be seen in the wild, I'd love to check it out.

Got mine early! Woo Hoo! :clap My dealer did a trade with another dealer who wanted an RT and got a GS out of the deal that was almost exactly what I was looking for (got wire wheels although I hadn't ordered them, but I don't regret it), and nearly 2 months early. :evil

It came in late Friday 4/4 & the service guys prepped it for me Saturday morning. I picked it up late Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, I was only able to put about 250 miles on it so far, but at least I have a commuting vehicle again, and boy is it fun. :freaky

Mine was built yesterday, 4/8/2014, after a wait of about 3 weeks. Code 182 now, hopefully on its way to Bremerhaven to find a ship. Final destination is Bob's in Maryland. 4 weeks sound about right?
