    Also doubles as a low cost fork stabilizer :rofl

    I like this idea, bit i think for bikes, you want the beams to be a little off center; focusing more on the side vision for cornering. I would want to see if there's a pot hole or other obstruction during a maneuver/turn.

    Unless this bar gives you the ability to angle the side bulbs a bit; or does it just throw a very wide pattern?

    The black dog solution mounts to the forks so lighting turns with you. Mine is mounted to the bar so it doesn't move but it is the combo unit - providing distance output in centre and flood lighting at the sides so I can spot the glowing eyes of animals to the sides.

    Use something like a Skene relay/dimmer circuit, triggered by your high beam switch (full power with high beam), and a programmable (off to full power in 10% increments) for low beam. Here's how I used a Skene IQ-175 to control my aux LED lights.

    Unless you're going reeeeeaaaaalllly slow the lighting turns opposite the direction of travel!

    Why would anyone bother using an adaptor to the powerlet socket. My understanding is that the powerlet socket and plugs are designed to keep accessories plugged in with the snap rather than relying solely on the cigarette lighter style friction and spring tension. If you inserted a powerlet adaptor into the cigarette socket, couldn't the powerlet adaptor simply pop out from vibrations / bumps?

    Yes. I used a couple big stainless washers to center the Powerlet since the cigarette style is larger. After I did this I saw somewhere on here where an inmate was making delron washers that match the dash.

    Used the adaptor for a couple months until I got around to the changeover. There was a lot of corrosion between the adaptor and the cig plug. I guess dissimilar metals along with the current caused this pretty quickly?

    Does anyone have information on a relocation kit for the kick stand, so it's not mounted to the motor?
    I kind of remember it being talked about.
    Any information would be appreciated.

    I appreciate the info and that's exactly what I'm looking for. Do you know if anyone has run a dimmer with a Rigid product? A while back I had Kurt at BD check into running a PWM dimmer with a Rigid product. He contacted the manufacture and Rigid claimed (at the time) their LED weren't designed to be able to dim. This was many years ago, so it may of change. I currently use Cyclops 10 Watt rounds driving LED with a dimmer on my other bike. Great product and seem to be durable, however I really like the Rigid light bar for the KTM.

    Has anyone transported their 1190 ADV and if so what tie down set up did you use? I have a few trips planned this summer and will be hauling my 1190 in a toy hauler. I have always used a Canyon Dancer Strap (original) on my sport bike and KLR650 but it tends to put pressure on the controls and twist the grips. Plus the KTM has the hand guards attached to the bar ends which none of my previous bikes had.

    I have a Bolt It On set up in the TH. I ordered a Canyon Dancer II and a High Roller Bar Harness to see which works better but would like to get feed back from those that have been there. Thanks!

    I transported my 1190 from LA to NYC (3000 miles) on this trailer http://www.scandipacific.com/product-details.php?recordID=15&product=Folding with the aluminum deck and extra tie downs.
    I removed the hand guards and used the Canyon Dancers on the bars, 2 tie downs on the crash bars, 2 tie downs on the passenger pegs and 2 on the rear deck.

    Overkill I know, but I want to feel like if I held the trailer upside-down the bike will still be secured.
    The trailer and the bike made the trip with zero issues.
    Removing the hand guards and using the Canyon Dancers is the way to go.

    Anyone install light bar kit (Picture of a install on page 206 ) on their 1190R . Can one of you take a measurement...bottom of light bar top of fender. Im having some clearance issues, possibly due to my install or maybe 1/4" lower triple clamp? Measurement of 1190 standard; Givi bar setup measurement (on page 207) would be great too.
    Guess on the R we need about 8.6"?
