I don't know jack....
Anyone got info or heard rumors?
I know the two locations that KTM is deciding between. Both would/will be awesome but I promised I wouldn't say anything.
They must be trying to choose between Eastern Oregon or Western Oregon.
i wish they would do stuff on the east coast.... which is never
Something about Wyoming...?
Since most of my family on my mother's side lives between the two borders, that would be a perfect location. Especially to ride up the Eastern side from So. Cal. Fingers crossed...
To be fair, they did at the Dirty Dabbers in central Pa. 3 years ago. Though the DD event drew a record (or at least near record) number of attendees, the KTM part (the Friday just before the Saturday event) was not well attended. The weather (and the forecast) was excellent, the area was fantastic for riding, but people just didn't show. I think there were maybe 30 or so people there. Which was too bad-- though I did enjoy constantly having different demo bikes to take out for a couple hours . From KTMs perspective, it worked on me-- I bought a 990 Dakar.
I think some fault lies with poor general promotion-- 2 area KTM dealers didn't know anything about it-- but it was certainly promoted on this site.
I don't know what the problem is-- local dealers do demo days for virtually any brand and hordes of people show up. KTM does something and it's relative crickets.
I think they've raised the company profile the past 2 years, so KTM should give it another go in the east this year.
Why even post that??
I heard it will be in Jackson Hole this year.
I heard from a dependable source that it's somewhere between Niagara Falls, NY and Otay Mesa, Ca...
Thanks dood. Glad it was a relatively dependable source. You might want to stop bribing your weaker sources.
...and I am stoked it is between two locations...in Nebraska!
Ktm listened to all the new 1190 owners... The only rally route is between Starbucks in Grand Island and Starbucks North Platte...adventure owners can stick to I-80 while R owners can choose the more tortuous Hwy 30, where they can stand on the pegs going through all the little towns.
Probably will not host it in Iowa until they get some cruise control fit up.
Naaaah. I heard it's gonna be held in Grand Island, NE on September 9 to coordinate with the Husker Harvest Days. KTM parking will be by the Minneapolis-Moline tractor display due to similarity of factor colors. Gymkhana events will include combine "tag" and LC8 cattle herding.
Better work on my LC cattle herding. I didn't qualify for it the last time I entered this contest.
You are all wrong I know for a fact (read it on the internet) it is going to be an international rally and is being held in south Central British Columbia
It will be in Steamboat again, guaranteed.
I can guarantee it won't.
I heard Cabo
