When the bike is resting try pulling the clutch lever in and tying it there. That way you relieve the pressure that is trying to push the oil out from between the plates. That gives the tranny oil a chance to move back between the plates so they are lubed and will release better.

I was thinking of that but this shouldn't be happening. I've never had a clutch do this ?

Is this your first trials bike? It is honestly a common issue with trials bikes. I have only owned 3 but all have done it to some extent. If I let my Beta warm up throughly it doesn't stick. If I just start it up, put on my helmet and gloves and try to ride, I better be holding on tight when I click it into gear.

1st Trials yes, No big deal on rocking it, I let it warm good snapping the clutch. It started when I went to this oil. I'll change it soon and see if it's better.

Columbia Cup was fun and a BIG learning field for me. Friday we got practice on the hill of #'s. This was used for fun, warm up Saturday. All that entered it got a ticket entered in a drawing for a rear tire. This was my first experience doing rocks. I was a LOT unsure about this but I think I did OK.

Saturday I was in the Intermittent class and it was way over my ability. Sunday I dropped back to Novice and Life was much more fun !!

Sunday in the P.M. part I was scoring a tough section for the Expert level folks. Man this was tough looking, some how these guys just flowed through it. They said just let the bike do it's thing, it will be ok, HA HA, Right.

Site of the 2001 Worlds Trials event also sometimes used when someone enters the Champ class.
Nice pictures and nice seeing you there.

Same here, oh I'm sore today. Clutch coming out this weekend and a good lube up on the bike. Nice dent in the radiator will be OK. New clutch lever and rear brakes in the mail.

    Got clutch out and sanded
Metal and fibers were mated good ? Guy at last event said he put metal plates in that had dimpels, no more sticking. Got to thinking, this is only clutch I have seen without. Road it around now let it sit and check. Chicken Ed out on pulling 2 springs. Damb oring wouldnt stay in cover so I used some gasket glue.

Stuck again but popped loose faster this time. Need to make a strap to hold clutch in with when sitting I guess.

Have you tried clicking into 3rd gear and rocking the bike before starting? That can free the plates and can sometimes alleviates the sticking. It didn't help on my Beta much but did on my Scorpa.

I always rock my 2015 ST250 in 3rd or 4th if it has been sitting for more than a week or so - learned the hard way :).

That's how I do it, PITA if you ask me. Shame they don't put dimpled plates in these things to stop this issue. The fiber plates had good glazing .

Not sure, 2nd time I've seen him on it this year. Lot's of power but no noise, weird stuff. Never get a 5 for killing the engine.

Nope - That is the Electric Motion EBike. He an the entire day Sunday competing and only used about 50% of his battery pack. The bike has some sort of re-generation process under braking - If I heared him closely. Video was produced by @robdogg of this site.

Been to the Columbia Cup once and wanted to make it again but timing just wasn't in my favor this year. Looks like it was a great event as usual.

Oh, it didn't look quite as beefy as the EMs, so I thought it was the Oset. Amazing that a day of competing only depleted the battery 50%!
