Still piecing the bike back together. Gotta finish rewiring my Power outlet, then see what needs to be done with my brake pedal.
Nothing a sledge can't fix tho!

Which led me to what I feel is the best photo of my trip:

This was a succession of 6 separate photos stitched together as a panorama. The lighting was perfect - you could see a storm brewing, and the sun just beginning to be obscured by clouds. The sky was otherwise clear, and you could see for miles. A photographer's dream. I spent over an hour editing this one, and I still don't think it's quite up to snuff. Perfectionism...

    And a couple others:

The height of which is incredible. You have to crane your neck to see the top. This was 4 photos stitched together.

When I exited the gulch, I was greeted by the beauty of a Montana Storm.

The clouds were as black as night, with no scrap of blue sky in this direction. Behind me, the sun was still peeking through, casting its orange glow on the hills beneath the brooding storm clouds.

In one direction, it was happy sunset. In another, it was pouring rain. Rotate another 90 degrees, and it was angry clouds. But it was Montana wide open country in every direction.

So far, I've been going through my album picture by picture, making fine adjustments, and it's taking me forever. So I'm going to make some quick and dirty adjustments to all the photos I shot of all you intrepid adventurers and do a photo dump onto my flickr album. It's been over 2 weeks since the adventure in question, but feel free to download and share with your friends and family!

    Full album: https://flic.kr/s/aHskDBiQgU

Here's a few select shots from days 4 and 5:

I lost my Fuji XP on the first day of the pre-run. Didn't know it was lost until I got home....it made it home long before I did. Address label on camera.

I was just too exhausted that may of been the 4th or 5th time of the day. My first get out made contact with my ankle and kickstand so at that point I had one good leg. The second get off jumped clear and mis calculated ended up on the off the road on the down hill side. Next year for the BOM hope to be on a single cylinder maybe a DRZ400E will keep the big twin for the stuff you can do on a KLR. The big twin in the tight stuff is out of its element made for blasting 50MPH plus down wide open stuff. Only damage to my bike was a bent shifter and side stand. Happy how well my bike handled crashing so many times, think the designed some crash survival into the design.

Propane torch and bottle jack to fix my side stand. My ankle is still sore but getting better.
