Stopped in and got an offer from the dealership of $12,500 out the door on a new 2017 800GSA, not including any trade in motorcycle or money down yet. I'm usually against buying new, but I'm not sure I can find a better deal used for that either.

I guess I'm looking for someone to talk me off the edge or push me over it - thinking about calling them tomorrow to put a deposit down on that and bring it home after work.

LOL. I was actually deployed for most of it and then lurking the Tiger 800 side of the house. Just recently started looking at the BMWs again since I finally got a test ride in and that kind of sealed the deal. Taking the first step away from cruisers and sport bikes into the adv world.

I like buying the last year of a model at heavy discount. All the bugs have been sorted and you get the full warranty. And no one has dropped it...yet.

You can probably do even better on the price. Ask around at other dealers that do more business and take the best number back to your local dealer.

I just purchased at 17 f800gsa used from a local dealer. Got it for 10.5 out the door, that's including tax. Bike had 1500 miles on it. I don't think 12.5 is bad, but I'd offer them 12 and see what they say, they are motivated to dump it, new ones will be out soon.

Another idea that my dealer suggested is a really long test ride. I believe after 200 miles it can be registered as a demo and then they can sell it cheaper.

Don't forget your Costco pricing applies too.

That only applies if you buy a shrinked-wrapped pallet of four.

Demo's have to be notified to BMW upfront, and then can be sold after the mileage is put on.

    What options did this have?

With premium package and a few other farkles I'm finding 2017 GSAs for $15,800.

Dynamic & Premium package.. & fogs. Managed to get them down to 12 out the door, but that's the lowest I could go with two separate dealerships. I'm gonna sleep on it over the weekend and probably go for it on Monday.

if they don't quite get as low as you'd like have them add factory farkles to the package, panniers, gps... that kinda stuff. costs them much less to add those in than give you the full discount, but it saves you the full cost if you were going to buy them anyway. i did this when i bought my mini and i was happy with the final purchase.

Definitely a good buy. With incentives right now we are selling them for 13500/13700 for a 17. I can tell you they aren't making anything on the bike.

I bought a brand new 2017 F800gs Adventure with 13 mi for $11,900 all in. I tried to talk them in panniers or some extra stuff but it was the last one they had and they wouldn't haggle any more.....so I took it. Back in the saddle after 20 years and I love it! Bikes have come a LONG way in 20 years.....

Pulled the trigger yesterday on a 2017 80GSA. :clap
It's a bit taller than the one I test rode, so time to dig through the forum and figure out how to lower it maybe an inch or two. :D
