I was looking at picking up this bike from a local dealer as a first trials bike. I searched around the web for some info but all I could find were specs and basic new bike info. I see Gas Gas has been bought by Torrot so hopefully they will be staying around.
I am not planning on doing any competing, just for play and fun. Looking to see what you all thought about the bike, if anyone has it, likes or dislikes.
    Thanks!

I saw one a few weeks ago. It seems like a great bike for the price. After looking at the specs it should be plenty capable.

At $5995 for a new entry level trials bike with long range tank/seat, is a very hard deal to beat. My only wish was that they used a proper DID style rear wheel. (Tubeless + no Rimband) I guess they had to draw the line at some point, but that addition would have made it a steal in my book.

I am with Laser17, good bike at a good price.

That bike would be good for trials and play. FYI: if you have never had a Gas Gas there is a 4th to 5th gear clunk that will make you feel like the bike is having a problem but it isn't it is just the inventive way they get that 6 speed transmission out of the supper light gearbox. As long as you don't shift it hard you will be fine...

There is a small shop in town that has a few bikes.

Thanks for the replies and heads up on the gearing. Sounds like this is the bike to get. Better jump on it while it's still around and I have the ok!!!

Wow! Did GG open up a parts distribution center in S.D. or N.D like I heard originally?

I was just thinking a trials dedicated dealer. Should have known it's a euro dirt bike shop with trials. Looks like a good enthusiasts shop.

I think the only thing you might consider, is ditching the Pirelli MT43 tires....

Good catch on the tires, MT43's are DOT and very stiff in comparison to something like the Dunlop 803 GP or Michelin X lights.

I wonder if that is the call of the shop or if that's the way they come standard...

Well that's just lame... would take them off and put them on an enduro and get a set of 803 GP tires ASAP.
