    I'm buying one.

I don't need a 5/4 scale p/u to haul cinder blocks or to make up for a physiological limitation. :p

This truck slots nicely between the current mid sized trucks and the stupid big trucks.

Without reading anything about it, it's already an improvement. I never liked the looks of the old one, but to drive one was fantastic. I'm sure this will be an excellent vehicle.

    This from the description tells me it's not really a truck;

will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive configurations.

I will stick with my Tacoma thank you.

It is nice looking but my Tacoma is paid for and only has 68,000 miles on it and a 6ft bed, my dogs don't need something that nice to shed their fur in.

No, but it won't be cheap. MSRP for the 2014 was $29.5K to $37.5K.

You prefer RWD? Are you in the habit of drifting your truck? Or is it that you prefer full lockers?

Nice to see it still has that cool trunk in the bed. That looks like the best feature of a Ridgeline (to me).

Based on Honda's picture gallery, it looks like the same vehicle to me with an updated exterior. It still has the dual action tailgate, flat bed/no wheel wells, fold up rear seat, luggage area under the bed. Those were/are great features. However, I hope they've squeezed out better mpgs from whatever engine they're putting in there. I have a 2010 and the 12-13 city mpg is a bummer.

It looks like a station wagon with the rear roof cut off, like the Subaru Baja. :puke2

I believe the point that he is making is that pick-ups are traditionally RWD/4X2 or 4WD/4X4.

    That vehicle is neither.

Looks like it's no longer a unibody.

    It's still unibody.
I get 17-18 mixed and 22 highway with my '12 and it's lifted. They fixed the transmission ratios in '12. It's got the whole Pilot interior and not the orphan the originals got with the stupid column shift which I hate.
I hope this doesn't get out of hand compared to the '14 numbers....

does it have it's own chassis now or is it still based on the Pilot underpinnings?

my neighbor has one - hated it at first then it grew on him and he started digging it, now it's his favorite rig.
