It's official---the 2017 HNF will overnight at Twin Lakes Cedar Cabins. Call Susie or Kenny at 812-836-2329 or 812-549-5637 I have cabin #2 rented. Now the rest of you can get your groups set up for the large cabins #4 and #5 @ $140 for 2 people + $10 for each additional person. Please post here or send me a pm when you confirm rental of any of the cabins---it calms my old nerves. Cabin #1 now has a stove and cooking gear but no toilet @ $90 / 2 people + $10 additional person. Cabin #3 is $70 / 2 people + $10 additional. Camping is still $10 per person---pay first then setup tent. I'll get a route posted late Sept /early Oct. For now i'm heading to Nevada to ride the Nevada Backroad Discovery Route----retirement isn't all bad!!!

soupbill--I had planned on coming to the Trials ride but the NBDR ride is too good to pass up. Maybe make your evening rides in October. And i am looking to add the offroad section at Austin's if i can get the route running near there. And, yes, the old TY runs great--starts 2nd kick

There are no "maps"------------at least they have never been before. Just a .gpx file for your gps with "tracks" -------------not routes on it.

Tracks and gps file are always posted right before the ride.
They will be posted on this ride thread.
Me and Road Dad have been gone riding in Nevada, Utah, California and Idaho---------I just got back--------but he's still out there.

I do know he's has not even started laying out the route------so be patient.

Update: I'll be there and my buddy Dominic says he's going to be the monkey riding in my sidecar. We are likely camping, unless there are any good cabins left.

Twin Lakes Cedar Cabins 13545 Thrifty Road Derby, In. 47525 N37 59.026 W86 33.579 Talk to Susie or Kenny @ 812-836-2329 or 812-549-5637 or 812-549-5064 Cabins are sold out and no place for your big camper, just tent camping. German Ridge Rec Area is a few miles southwest of Twin Lakes but i don't know if it can handle you camper. Brown County State Park is 15-20 miles southwest of the start of the ride at Taylorsville. That park fills up in the fall with all the leaf viewers so early reservations are a must. Hope to see you at the ride George.

    Duh....yes, not a campground.

Thanks, Twin Lakes Cedar Cabins said I could park there, but I don't want to annoy people with a generator, 100ft of cord and $40 per night would get me 20 amps of power. That's plenty of amperage as I just need to keep the battery charged but 100ft of cord does not seem ideal to me. They said they want to sell cabins not rent camper space....I can take a hint. :wave
    Looking at motels now.

I'm new to this forum, so I'll try not to sound too goofy. But Is there an event flier for this event? I seek info such as fees, location of the start, level of difficulty, etc. I ride an NC700 with mildly aggressive rubber. I did the loose nut enduro two years ago with minimal difficulties (Skipped the two real deep water crossings). Would I have problems on the route you have chosen here? I have really taken a liking to the adventure ride thing. 40 years of racing moto was wearing me down.
    Thank you.

No fliers,no fees, easy gravel road cruising and nice curvy back roads. If You did LooseNut You will be fine on this one too! Food, gas and camping/hotel is all you need to take care of.
