Considering a 2017 300 RR. MSRP looks like 10,199 USD. Could any of you give me an idea of what they are actually selling for? I have heard that the dealers don't discount these at all, I'm guessing this depends on the dealer. Thought a decent deal on a bike this price might be low 9s...Not sure. Any info on prices paid appreciated.

Honestly, at low 9s, the dealership won't be making any money on it. There's very little mark up on these things, or any new Honda motorcycle, for that matter.

They have maybe 1000 in margin on that bike. I doubt you're going to find anyone willing to sell it for anything other than MSRP or very close to it.

It is hard to know if a dealership is being truthful when they are trying to sell you something. I offered 9600 out the door for mine and the sales manager told me that was their cost.

10199 is MSRP and my dealer wanted 100 for prep and 400 for freight for a total of 10700. I tried to get sponsorship (did not work) and had a few other cards to play. Ended up paying 9800 cash.

My salesman was very good but did say these bikes do not move well. The sales manager contradicted him on that. Almost everyone there pays MSRP plus the extra fees so I think I did exceptionally well. The salesman said he was impressed at how I "ground down" his manager.

I have worked in sales at a car dealership so I am somwhat jaded as a buyer.

Seen deals on 3 260's. But they would not deal on the 300. My buddy got his under 10k, but I bet he did not make it out the door without some added cost.
You want a deal go buy a 300 Factory Beta 4 stroke.

I hate it when dealers don't list the OTD price. Shipping, setup and doc fees at some dealers may add another grand easy. Tax is an easy compute, but dealers can try and make more profit with the rest of the stuff.

Ive never bought anything from these guys but people I know who live up that way love that shop. Big inventory of gear, etc and in general a good reputation.

The Hontesa is a very solid, reliable design. If they had evolved the 2 stroke version into FI in parallel and still sold it, I might own one :-)

I tested a customer 315R in the Expert class in a regional event and fell in love with the HRC 2 stroke. It signed off on top early, but was elsewhere a very smooth tractor.

Sorry. Didn't mean to hijack the thread. The 315R is out of date and has 2 few strokes!
