Not really and Nico is gone anyway! Toto the austrian is now shoveling the shit in the pile and location his Geman overlords are telling him too. You are correct Lewis is mentally weaker, I bet Nico put the sabotageing of the engines idea in lewis's head, almost cost Lewis his job... Lolllll. :lol3

There's a logical article on Motorsport.com suggesting Alfa Romeo badged Ferrari engines for McLaren

How the hell will McLaren race against Maranello. No way they give the top spec to a rival like McLaren.

If they give me an Alfa Giulia Quadrofoglio I'll be happy to follow them on the Facebook!!

Sauber switching to Honda leaves them only Haas while Renault and Mercedes are supplying everyone else.
It means $25-30M, and Ferrari is essentially independent today, they could use the money

A $25-30 million check written to Maranello by Woking will not get the engine spec the red Maranello cars are running. Could Woking take the engine in house and do a better job than , Oh hell I don't know where the Honda F1 engines are made. Woking may be better off doing what Milton Keynes is doing with their rebadged Renault engine.

No way Maranello gives like engines to a rival like Woking. Even if it is in the contract, there will be an out.

    Hey that's fun.

Just read Appendix 9 and I don't see anything about FIA requiring equal power units. Does anyone know if Kannapolis gets the top spec Maranello engine?

I could see the wording in a contract between the engine manufacturer and the customer saying we get like motors I just don't see a works engine manufacturer giving the same motor to a customer team. Especially one that has the tech and aero skills to beat you. But maybe a slightly less Maranello motor is better than the Tochigi motor. Difference between third to fifth versus DNF and 14th.

Iirc I read about one of the Mercedes engines teams saying they don't get the exact same engine software as the MBZ team

The only reason they'd move to Honda is factory money. Doesn't Honda pay McLaren tens of millions per season? Sauber needs money and would settle for a fraction of that.

A lot different from last year when Lewis couldn't come to terms with the circuit and qualified 10th. He out-qualified Bottas by .5 of a second and more than a second ahead of the Ferraris.

Looking forward to a good race.

I was going to post yesterday that this may not be the best track to truly assess that.

All I can say today is "what a shit-show." I think. The news owners should tell the money-laundering Azerbaijani oligarchs to take their money and shove it up their asses. Build a proper track or forget it.
