I could camp at Forest Creek CG until they kicked me out. We'll just have to get there early and stake our place. You can load yer damn dirtbike in your pickup and drive it the 10 miles to McCubbins :D

No Forest Creek is not where we were last year. Remember where the cute girl was? That's Forest Creek. Not far from where we were last year.

Sorry, Scott, part of this gig for me is so new riders can experience Barlow. OHV areas are close by. That, and I just love Barlow; it's in my soul. Also, it's generally quite a bit drier at Forest Creek CG,...last year it was misty where we were at Barlow Crossing, and noticeably drier 10-15 miles down the hill at Forest Creek. Barlow Crossing CG is too close to the mountain, and gets much more weather.

No worries. Want to post it up and I'll add it to the Calendar?

Hoot - That Forest Creek campground is just downhill one more exit on NF-48 from where we were last year (Paste this "45.179998, -121.524767" into Google Map). It's a more developed campground...slightly. As we get closer, maybe we can get somebody to stake it out. It's not as far down where we helped that chick who was leaving chunks of her car's oil pan from jumping the water bars, though she was staying at that Forest Creek campground. Jeebus, was that just LAST year!

I don't know if you folks already know this but this web site says Forest Creek Campground doesn't open until May 27th. The Barlow Crossing Campground page says it doesn't open until June. If you did already know this then forget I said anything. :D

Yeah, normal every year. That just means the independent campground caretaker/vendor or "conecessionaire" may or may not come by to collect funds and/or clean the vault toilet. It don't mean we can't camp there....really...nobody cares off-season.
