    With the temperature dropping 40 odd degrees virtually over night it reminded me of what time of year it is. I've noticed that I'm not the only one. :wink:

    So let it be known that the 49th annual Polar Ride is ON.

    This is a no nonsense, no baby sitting, ride your motorcycle to it (except the wood master) fend for yourself, beat your Liver with a stick like an unwanted stepchild and avoid frost bitten nether regions if all possible type event. :pynd :ricky :vardy :kumbaya [IMG] :dukegirl :freaky rinse and repeat.

    This year will be the first year for us to have to cough up $ for the Reyes Creek Campground. It's not much but..... Another development is that the Reyes Creek B & G is under new ownership. That means we have yet another owner to train. :lol2

    :raindance By now most should know that this is the only gathering that it is except-able to bring up the "R" word and talk about rain. For without ~3" of rain prior to the event there will be no campfire .
    So I encourage y'all to dust off your best rain dancing shoes and do your best rain dance. :raindance:raindance

    *edit*

    Seems our rain dances have been a fail BUT....

    Somewhere a policy change has been made (it could be the fact that the undergrowth has been cleaned up) and the rain requirement has been lifted. Camp fires in the provided fire rings is permitted. :clap Not much has changed in the campground other than a new Fee Box and a rules board. :dirtdog

    The road in to camp is clean except for the hard left to go up the hill after crossing the river is very sandy so if you are arriving after dark take care on that corner.

    Jessica, the new owner but not new to the bar has not changed the operation of the bar (the food still slides down easily) and will be open at 8am for food, coffee, hair of the dog or whatever. Also they are in the process of cleaning up the back yard and are able to cater events. Might be something to check out for the future and might give other food options. JAT :clap

    For those not familiar with the area there some great spots to ride both on and off asphalt so whatever you ride in on there is something around to entertain yourself with. :ricky

    */edit*

    So who's brave enough to risk icicles on their nether regions? Any takers. :deal

    Hopefully this year we will again have the campground to ourselves and not have to be concerned about disrupting others. :evil

    I hereby challenge you to a Dick wrastle. We could zip tie um together, wire nippers in hand, and the first one to sport wood and clip the tie loses.

    Ok, I'll bring the sausage for a Sat. night dinner. Just need a head count for that night. Some one else do a side or two.
