The 2017 Renfro Valley KY Adventure Ride will be September 30th and October 1st. This is a much more mild version of the Dual Sport ride that's in May. It is big bike friendly and will also have an optional all blacktop route.

I'm going to pencil this one in also. It's been a few years since I rode in the Boone area. Love it down there.

Any trails ? Im sorry I missed your DS event this past spring.
Suitable for smaller enduro type DS bikes ?
Dirt roads, Jeep roads are fine, my CRF is horrible on the pavement.

There are trails if you take the optional sections, nothing hard mainly just two track. There is quite a bit of pavement and gravel.

What is the $85 entry being used for? From what I understand, only one meal is provided and the meal is being sponsored by KTM. Will there be GPX files or only roll charts? What are the lunch stop options? Just asking because I haven't attended this event before and don't know what to expect.
    Thanks, Jeff

That's for the 2 days of riding, lunch both days and dinner saturday night. No GPX files, roll charts only.

Hey Jeff, what are the camping accommodations like? Is it dispersed camping in a field with bath-houses?

There are 3 of us traveling from Michigan on ADV Bikes with our tent camping gear, and we are planning to arrive Friday afternoon.

Thank you for helping to set this up, we are looking forward to a great weekend!

Jeff, does the entry fee cover the camping here also? Wondering if reservations ahead of time are needed or is it already reserved for a group ride? We are part of the Michigan group and may be down Thursday evening.

It does not. That RV park is huge but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to call ahead and reserve spots.

Is this ride for AMA members only? One in my group isn't a member. Where are the festivities being held...., sign in, demo rides, dinner, etc? The brochure lists the boat dock as the location yet it sounds like the camping is taking place across the street. Are the lunch stops the same for both days? What is the furthest the route takes us from base camp? My daughter sometimes can't complete a 150 mile ride on her xt225, lol.

I'd suggest calling or emailing Paul Jordan for those questions.

Does Paul not monitor this thread? I would guess others may like to know the answers as well.
