Just a heads up I called the Renfro Valley RV park accross the street. They told me they DO NOT allow tent camping.

The flier says there is tent camping at the start. There is also a KOA about 1/2 mile up the road.

Limited tent and rv sites at the start are first come first serve. KOA seems to be the best option for camping with amenities.

    I talked with Paul...

The $85 " DOES NOT INCLUDE LUNCH "

    * you have to pack a lunch or stop along route and buy your own lunch.

another sweet day of loving the WR hard - cracked my side mount, bent my lite mounts, & busted my mirrors - but this stuff at renfro valley - rocks, water, sand, dirt, dust, hills & the guys i rode with & the riders i met - made it a freakin' awesome one

    So how did it go?

I'm heading that way for a few days starting Tuesday (Oct 3), staying mostly on pavement. I've done the Renfro Valley Dual Sport a few times and really love the area.

Post up some pics and cool spots to visit!

We rode Sunday. It was a hoot! I have never missed so many turns though. I'm used to having arrows pointing the way, and my odo wasn't quite matching up. I'll try to get back next year for sure. Thanks Paul!

I had a REALLY great time riding the event last weekend. It is always fun to pack
up camping gear on the bikes, ride to the event , set up camp, ride, pack up and
    ride back home.

    * I would like to thank the guys from Mathews, IN - Muddobbers Motorcycle Club
for going out of the way to help us Saturday night. Jeff, thank you so much for
making a run to Lexington, KY in your van to pick up 2 rear wheel bearings, for our
two bikes. We got to ride Sundays ride and made it back home safely...

Total trip mileage was 800 miles for the weekend.

May have to hit this next year, all the pics look closer or more technical than what many "dual sport" rides are nowadays.

Actually it's the opposite. The ADV ride is WAY more tame than the dual sport ride.

Oh, I get it Jeff, I’m not talking the Renfro DS, I know it’s tough. I’m talking about other DS rides that definitely should be called or marketed as adventure rides.

I only did Saturday it was great! And I’m mad @ myself for not taking pictures ,for me my mileage would be way off on one turn then dead nuts on the next one I’m still trying to figure it out. Sure was an adventure .big thanks to all that put this on.

That's the way it was for me, too. In Pigtails pictures, there's a wagon in the background of the 3rd pic. We saw those on Sunday. Does anyone know the story behind them? The ones we saw looked like they had camping gear in them.
