I love their bikes, but I simply don't understand why Kymco won't make it so your knees and elbows don't hit. I'm 5'6" and I feel cramped.

The 400 is described as more open but the 300 pics show a smaller fairing in the knee area.

The 400 has plenty of room
Similar to Majesty and Burgmans but more modern and sporty look and feel.

It's kinda strange that they reduced the engine size on the Xtown to 275cc from the Downtown's 298cc. They still call it a 300, but you get less. Maybe to increase the gain by going to the Xciting 400 (which is 399cc)?

Hope they sell. Kymco is at least sending stuff to the US, so kudos to them for giving us some options across the size ranges.

I'm 5'11 and have never had any problems riding my DT. Seat's comfortable too. I think it varies from person to person, but it maybe a hardship for anyone over 6'0".

I'm told it was because the DT300 was coming to close to the forza etc.
the new "300" will be priced 3999.00 a substantial drop from ther DT.

Ya pay less but you get less.

BTW- what they did was devalued the DT300 used market. I sold mine over the summer for 3000.00 and now I'd get 2 tops.

I've not gotten to sit on a kymco yet. Just never see them around. It doesn't take much to make me bump my knees on my 650 burgman though. 6'1.

3999 for the 300 not bad whatsoever. Makes me wonder how much longer Suzuki is going to ask 4999 MSRP for the Burgman 200.

AMAC- Not a thread hijack, but why did you sell your DT? They seem like a screaming deal for anything under $2500. Am I wrong?

I sold it even though i loved it. Best scoot i ever owned.
That said what's a 2013 DT300 worth now that as new one is 3999.00 with ABS.........

I bought mine as a leftover at a good price but even though the new 300 is less of a scoot doesn't matter.
New 300 for 3999.00 with the ABS people scream for.

When they hit the floors the non ABS DTs will be a pariah and worth less.
You see it here alll the time "I'll never own a non ABS again".

I took my 3k while it was there. Resale on a kymco is tough enough if you didn't buy right and this doesn't help those who paid full bore.

Sounds like opportunity for those of us who don't care about ABS!

That would be someone like me, just like I wouldn't buy a car or truck without ABS and traction control or a lot of other safety features that used to be optional or nonexistent. They really work and can be life and limb savers.

Kymco Canada only shows the 300I and the 500 so far and the 300I is listed at $6800 bucks before tax and the other crap, I like the looks of the 300 and 400.

Thanks for the input helps drive my point home.
Given the choice the ABS will sell and the non abs will be discounted.

I don't see enough of a difference to make me get rid of my "obsolete" '06 Majesty. Now if only they would bring over the AK550-I'd be on that like flies on stink!

Indeed and proper USD forks & Brembo radial brakes too!!! No junk parts there. Kymco is forcing the bar upwards.

Not sure the US market is buying that as Kymco doesn't think much of the US scooter buyer anyway.

Why do you say that? A look at Kymco USA web sight shows more models than any of the other Asian manufacturers offered here. Maybe Vespa/Piaggio have more (didn't count them) but I am grateful they offer so many scooters from 50-500cc. If only others did that.....
