Totally overpowered. You watch out sonny that death machine will be the end of you yet!
Good ole boy Chris Marsh, from the famous All Ordinaries team of twats, found me a spares bike for my XT250, for the princely sum of $20, and then refused to take my money. Put it to the Scrapheap cause, he doth quoth! So I have chucked $50 into the cause via our team of Ordinaries. Thanks Chris!
Jolly L O N G way to go yet Dave, but thanks for the encouragement
But at least now I know it will fit in there
Reg is still progressing quicker than the VTRRR Pezz.
Reg has wheels under him for starters
Hey Tim - the Daily Trouble in the background is looking nervous, he knows his days as the Scrapheap go to weapon are numbered, he can feel the weight of the dust that's already beginning to settle on him as he gets relegated to the rear of the shed.
On the VTRRR - I think you'll want to beef up the rear subframe a bit too Tim.
Not for you though - I know you are a lightweight fella ...
but for later on when you go & let a big bloke like me take it for a lap round the paddock - I'm gunna fold that seat in half mate!
It will be very nice to see this build come together
A trellis framed VTR with a rally raid fairing and Husqy saddle velcro strapped together in a "scrappers mock-up"... !?
OMG... we may not have enough straight jackets to go around...!!!
That actually sounds like it could be a pretty nice (read non-scrappy) package with a bit of care and attention.
Like a 250cc Honda version of the KTM 950 Rally. Better than the CRF250Rally.
That's not Daily Trouble in the background. Daily Trouble lives in the back shed so that I don't get sidetracked into fixing the swingarm geometry problem.
The '93 DT above is a backup along with the '92 parked behind it, seems I'm like a home for neglected DT175's of late. . . .
VTRRR has a long way to go yet but I'll make sure it's got a solid subframe so you can test ride it for me . I'm trying to source a wiring harness that comes with a spare bike currently and then the build can really get off the leash.
The airbox definitely needs replacing with a lower design to get the seat and tanks working around it.
I'm aiming for a tiddler with good range and hopefully be fairly dirt worthy by the time I finish this build.
Join us tROY . . . . you know you want to . . . . . or should I say Man Cub . . .
OMG, i feel physically ill....what is that ???!!!! It needs to be taken out the back paddock and shot...!! Then buried so we can try and forget!!!!
Ouch! Reg has feelings ya know!
Hi @Mototrans aka Scotty
Well a bit of time in the shed tonight and the interfering bracket dealt with
Voila . . . . Reg in long range mode . . . .
Fair bit of trimming and fabrication but one can get the idea . . . .
Might look at the DR600 seat tomorrow, I also have the DR600 airbox to put in the mix as well.
quick... someone grab a fistfull of detol eye swabs... stat!
Don't panic.I'm going to visit the Skunkworks at the end of the week.

Careful Joe. Pezz has cold beer and he's not afraid to share it!
On another note. I think Reg is certainly looking the goods there mate, despite what the unenlightened say LOL. How about a decent pic from Regs good side?
Reg has a good side . . . . .
Might have to revise the 3" x 2" bottom tank mount
Gotta love a picture of a motorcycle that has a angle grinder in it!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^
I'll just leave this here . . . .
Hommage to Scrapper builders everywhere LOL
