    Great RR Moto Vaquero

I will be in Baja for my first time in May for the Mexican 1000 and cant wait. Then plan on going back on KTM Supermoto R that I have converted to a dual sport for a much more liesurely ride/exploring trip although it's too big to go a lot of the places you went.
I have traveled mainland Mexico quite a bit (and love it) but always wanted to see Baja and your report was great.

In your packing list I don't think I saw you had a sleeping bag?

When you stayed in your plywood cabin at Campo Rene did they provide bedding?

The reason I'm asking is doing Baja in 2 weeks with motels in mind and not packing a sleeping bag, but if we come across accomodation like this will we need a bag?

Loved your report and have downloaded some of the easy tracks. I liked the beach riding from La Paz.

No reason to carry the bag unless you're camping out or if you're staying at the pink hotel in Catavina with all the bed bugs :eek1:lol3. Campo Rene has beds with sheets, blankets, pillows but you have to walk to the common bathroom. I hear they have been remodeling the place too.

Thanks on the RR and have fun on your ride. Definitely some great beach riding down in the east cape coast.

Thanks, that's great to know, cause i only bought the wolfman beta mini, smaller and lighter is better on a pig of a KLR i figure, more room for beer too :freaky with no bag.

On our way thru Tecate on April 4 all the way to Cabo, anyone going that way if we've been there you may see these stickers marking our way

What a ride report. Read every line. And to repeat everyone else's comments, yes inspiring. A pioneer of sorts. Appreciate it. Thanks!

Would love to see your Garmin Adventure tracks for Catavina to San Quintin. Looked amazing!

    Moto Vaquero,

Just planning another month in Baja with three other guys....and will be using some of your tracks for some sections ...thanks for posting them.

It took me a while to figure out how to find your tracks on Garmin Adventure...looked under "motorcycles" and "dirtbiking"...seems like a black art learning how to use Basecamp (I am a Luddite when it comes to that stuff).

It will be interesting to see how Odile affected the deserts.

Hope your next ride kicks burro

Ged, when are you planning your ride south? I'm planning on putting a trip together in early February. I was thinking maybe riding to Loreto and back. probably use some of scotts routes as well.

    dozer,
Dec 13-Jan 14th....ten days or so in Todos Santos and then up the Pacific side to Shari and Juan's place in Bahia Asuncion for New Years....and a week out of BoLA for about a week of single track.

Hope you have a good trip.

I have previously ridden most of what Moto Vaquero did in this report....but the La PAz-Evaristo-Constitucion route and Seven Sisters Pacific coast route will be new to me....

Sounds like a great trip Ged, have fun and keep us posted on the road conditions. I will be down in Cabo and Los Barriles from Oct 20th to the 27th. I'm taking my 13 year old son on a 2 day ride around the lower cape area. I'll post some pictures when I get back

Dozer. Let me know what it is like. Heading down to ride and watch the Baja on Nov 8. Then back to Posada for Christmas. Curious how the area is doing with the cleanup after Odle by then.

It looks like some of my Baja brothers have reactivated the 21 Days thread:thumb.
Ged if you get a chance ride the Malarrimo coast/tracks that I posted, good stuff just ask Big Wan!

That's awesome that you guys are using some of my tracks that I posted, post up how it went if you get a chance.

I'm already in preliminary plans for "Scotts 3rd annual April Fools Ride". I have a couple of buddies from Idaho that will be coming down to join me.
Probably a week in Nov first though. :clap
