Good looking rig! I have a windshield on my tub and my fuel mileage is in the 30 to 35 range.

By the way.....Take a very close look at the upper front mount where it connects to the sidecar frame itself.

Real nice rig , sharp and clean. Not to nit pick but I'm with Claude on the lower attachment in the front brace. I'm a fan of three braces, the front one connected to the very front of the sidecar frame. But I'm hard on equiptment!

inspection has been done.. so far so good but I purchased
this rig so I can hit the back roads.

Call has been made to Jay this morning and keep the forum informed with
    the outcome.

NEED to thank this forum for this info. Unlike cars or motorcycles there is not a watch dog for dangerous potential problems in SC only SC riders looking out for the good of his fellow rider.

    Thanks

    looks clean

I hope your not feeling too ripped off, you haven't been abused any more than anyone else.

Some of Jays early work suffered if used hard and loaded heavy. If he has offered to upgrade your mounts and frame at a reasonable cost that may be money well spent, his newer stuff is better.

I bought my first sidecar from a private party it had been assembled by another NW sidecar shop (not Jays) it was a snafu from the start. I thought WTF how can these jerks get away with this nonsense, gaining knowledge in the sidecar business is expensive.

Claude and Brock helped me out so I gave Claude my business on the next sidecar.25k + miles killed some venison been into the ditch and thru the ditch too the bean field, crossed up several times no structural issues. On the other hand it's a big heavy panzer.DB

I have never been the silent on an issue.. but I
    been mulling this over.

If he send the parts and upgrades I will have them installed here by a trust sc mechanic that has been referred to me.

That way I don't have to pay for shipping it there and back.

Plus the cost to take it apart and then put it back together.

I think I would be ahead if the upgrades are done correctly.

Not do I want 3 point or stay with two points from the frame to the bike.
