I ended up missing this year’s Barber Vintage Festival due to a schedule conflict with the last NEPG National Enduro in Indiana. The enduro was great, myself and 3 friends raced the entire series this year, but my street rides suffered a little with the racing commitment. Since the weather has been awesome here in the Southeast for the past few weeks, I decided to take some vacation days and take a ride through the Southern Appalachian Mountains and Foothills with a visit to the Barber Museum. My trusty street riding friend Lee and his GS were up for the ride too.

I used my helmet cam some during the trip and came up a with a series of clips of our ride.

I ended up not taking a lot of photos from the road on Tuesday, the day kind of escaped us on riding National Forest Roads and were running late on getting to the Hampton Inn in Dalton, GA.

On our way to Barber on Wednesday Morning:

We ended up back at Dalton, GA at the edge of dark, so went back to the same Hampton Inn. Getting ready to leave out on Thursday morning going back through the GA Highlands and NC Mountains.

Thanks guys, here are a few more Barber Museum photos.

I really love going to the museum it is very impressive, although I do wish that there were a section dedicated to off-road bikes (just the opinion of a dirt biker).

    TL,
Looks like a good trip, sorry I missed it. Nice pics, way to much to see at Barber. It was nice of you to include the elderly gentleman on your ride :D

    Hey TL,

Thanks for the pics! I never get tired of seeing Barber museum bike pics.

Surely there's a gift shop in the museum, do you know if they have a book that contains all the bikes in the collection?

Rm557, Yes, we missed your kicking up dust and spinning through the ditches on the dirt roads! We'll make the trip again when you can go, and you had better go then! This whole career thing is getting in the way of riding!

Gadget Boy, There is a gift shop of t-shrts, stickers, etc, but I have not seen a listing of the bikes. There is a sizable library that is accessed by appointment only. The last time I was there, a few years ago, we met Mr. Barber and he was gracious with his time to talk about the museum and grounds. He said that he is warehousing as many bikes that are on display and plans to expand in the future to accommodate them. I'd say the warehouse would be pretty cool to rummage through too.
