great mate, RGH and I decided to hit a 300 miler this morning. We have a long weekend here so the joy of an extra day off gave us some scope so off we went.

I decided on my 74 Z1A - lubed my chain, clutch and throttle. Topped my oil up, pressures were sorted and battery was trickled. It's always good to be ready and I was hanging out for a Z adventure.

Love the 900, they are my all time favorite roadie. To me they finished what Honda started with their 750 four. They are the classiest thing Kawasaki ever made and the true classic from the 70s.

I'm with you, Portly. Every time I ride an old Z I am reminded of what it is all about. So many people just light up at the sight of the old Z just sitting there. Also, in the modern age of laser cameras and speed traps everywhere these old Zs are just the best. 80mph on a Z feels like 130mph on a new bike and you look a whole lot cooler than being crunched up on a race rep. It would be a dark day for me to sell up the old Zs I have to say.

    Glad you liked the pix.
