Hey all.... I did a little 4 state 368 mile trip....

I started in Clarksville. I crossed into KY in Oak Grove. I have a pretty nice little route I have that will get me to the East side of the LBL. I hopped onto HWY68 West and crosseed the LBL. I then jumped on HWY94 that took me all the way to Hickman KY and the Ferry Landing.

I got to Hickman and stopped for lunch and gas.

I went through what I guess was the OLD downtown of Hickman and found this cool painting of Mark Twain.

The ferry is pretty cool.. The guy that was running the deck said it usually takes up to 45 min. dependant on the current. The return trip only takes about 20..... Kinda ineresting...

I jumped on the Levees and headed north.... The Ferry lets out on HWY 77. You can take the Levees all the way to HWY 60 that crosses the Mississippi into IL.

The Levees are topped with loose gravel... It can be a little deep at times. You just gotta be ready for some deep loose rocks...

    The HWY60 Bridge..

After a run through Paducah I just kinda made my way South and east..... The only place I crossed my tracks was going back into the LBL.... Once in the LBL I jumped off 68 and took the Trace south back into TN. Got onto 79 and headed East back to Clarksville... Nothing real exciting there... I have made that trip so many times its just auto pilot back home...

I love it... It is pretty comfortable it is also pretty light... When you buy it it comes with a Gore Windstopper liner for cooler weather as well as a "Breath box" for the front to block the wind. It also came with an extra visor and in its own sweet helmet bag....:thumb

When I saw 4 states in 368 miles I guessed that you were up in the northeast somewhere. Then I saw that you were just up the road from me in Clarksville. It's a little harder to get into 4 states around here than in the northeast. My wife and I left Massachusettes, one morning and had gone through 6 states when we arrived in Virginia that night.

One thing that's neat about Tennessee is that it borders more states than any other in the U.S. (8). It is also as far from the southwest corner of Tennessee to the northeast corner as it is to Houston, Texas or New York City.

Thanks for the report. I'm promoting Tennessee as a great place to ride. I really like riding out west but more RR's from Tennessee would be good too.

Just a minor correction... Missouri also borders 8 different states...

Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska

Tennesse is a great state for riding.
