Very interesting report and pleasant reading. This part of the US is so scenic I could spend all day staring at your pictures.
    Nice F800 too.

Well done report. Makes me feel like I was in your saddlebag along for the trip. Man I've got to get out of town.

Having ridden all the roads you did, I must say, those are some of the best motorcycle roads in America. Truly a EPIC part of the world to ride. A suggestion, next time take the Valley of the Gods road to Moki Dugway. Incredible view over the 4 corners area. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your great RR, I agree with your thoughts. It's great to get away from the day to day issues that clutter our lives, and take time out to appreciate our surroundings. There is something about motorbike road trips, I think it's the freedom from daily routines, obligations and expectations, and just take in the beauty of the scenery and joy of interacting with the friendly people you meet on the road, there is an abundance of both in the country you travelled.

I'm planning next year's trip, that's a bit of a misnomer, I just have a list of places to see, a starting point and destination, and a start and end date. Thanks to reports like your's on this forum, the Tail of the Dragon, the Million Dollar Hwy and chunks of Hwy 50 are on the list.
    Cheers,
    Mark.

Nice! Thanks for posting the adventure and photos.

You could run this route the other direction and have a new adventure. As you noticed, a great view around every curve.

Great ride report and pictures, what a fantastic time to hit that part of our country! Thank you for taking the time to capture the pictures and post the journey, that's a lot of miles to cover. :thumb:thumb

Well done, want to get down that way and explore the back country routes in all the states you hit.
