    Hi folks:

Embarking on my trip to South America. First I have to get through the states! And before I get through the States; I'm attending Burning Man.

So I have to get from Seattle => Black Rock, NV.

I'm leaving Wednesday morning early. I need to be in Black Rock NV Sunday; ideally by noon.

Any fun roads to take? Places to stay you'd recommend? Or perhaps your place? . Hot springs?

I'd prefer to avoid I-5 if it's possible.

do you want to take dirt roads? or just avoid 5? The 'direct' way is i-5 and then turn off to Klammoth, ( I think @ medford) and then go through susanville.

However the TAT and also the 'pacific crest quest' here on ADV will also get you down there on dirt.

I think I'm going to wait on dirt until after Burning Man. Seeing as I've been riding for less than a year; and I have a deadline to arrive at Burning Man; and a separate deadline to meet up with James in San Diego, I'd like to avoid dirt at this time; and hit it up once I meet up with James, my riding partner in San Diego. We plan on doing some off-road in Baja.
