This is my first attempt at a ride report. I will try to update every night, not getting wifi may hamper things...

My friend and I are leaving Toronto after he finishes work today and then heading east.

The rough route is through the lower part of the Adirondack's, Vermont, New Hamsire and bit of the coast of Maine (thanks for the input dmh65!!)

The plan is to stay near Kingston so we can hit the border first thing tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to the 401...:patch

I'm very excited to be on the road and I hope that I can provide everyone with some entertainment and a few good photo's in the process :1drink

Packed, ready and waiting for the phone call...

We hit the road at 5:30pm, and our adventure begins...

I didn't take any highway shots because if find it a touch boring. On the bright side, traffic was lighter than normal.

The "Big Apple" was approaching and as it happened it was dinner time!

A sign post with the distance to many cities.

Dinner....burgers, fries, apple fries, deep fried apple slices that are then coated in sugar... my friend had a burger, poutine and apple crumble.

Then it was back to the slab...the fun roads will start tomorrow!

Rolled in to our motel @ 10 pm and settled in.

    The room....

Tomorrow will be across the boarder, through the Adirondack's, Vermont and into New Hampshire..

Arrived home about 4:30pm. We don't like the 401...

    Plattsburgh to home.

The morning started out HOT...but we soon forgot about the heat, deep in the Adirondack's.

Had to slow up for this and some other road work

The we came across the oddest thing in a tiny village...

Then we had to share the road near Clarkston

    Rain delay one

    Lunch...

Back on the gas and over the bridge to Canada we go!

    1000 Islands parkway....

Rain delay 2, yep, under a bridge on the 401 :eek1

Then it was enduring the heat, and the fact that in two hours we saw more cars then we did in 4 days on the roads in the mountains and other places we wandered.

    Plattsburgh to home.
