Missplaced thread, should be on THUMPERS.

Yet, the RH fuel petcock connects to the LH by a hose passing in front of the engine.

The 2nd exit on the LH petcock connects to the fuel pump.

how about the 3rd petcock ON/Off/RES at RH just below the rider??....this is the highest reserve fuel contained in the 28 liter tank.

OK.......let's make a few things clear first.........on all vehicles, left and right are as you sit on/in the vehicle.
So, for a 640 Adventure......the upper L/H and R/H thumb screw lines are joined with the fuel line running behind the engine.

The L/H On/Off/Reserve goes to the fuel pump.

    Cheers

Correct, but not for all years...

    1998-2001 there was only two petcocks, L/H on-off-res and R/H on-off.
    Line from R/H on-off connect to t-connector between pump and L/H on-off-res.
