I picked up one of these today. Have some questions. Hope you guys can help.

    1. What kind of oil should I get for the gas, I have Stihl oil for my 2 stroke equiptment will that work?

    2. What oil to I put in gear case.

It runs has most of the parts eccept head light ring and side plastics are busted. I started it with the stihl oil its 50'1. are there any other things I need to know about it. I know its slow already. I got it for next to nothing and thought I would fart around with it. Mainly just some elbo greese and some paint it will be fine. Too Crapy out to take pics yet. Thanks

PS this is my first 2 smoker

    Any two-stroke oil will work.

In the gear box you can use Golden Spetro gear lube, but I would stay with what previous pwners used plain good ol' 10/30 or 10/40. Pics if you have them please

Shes alittle rough but she runs and all the stuff works. Head light rim is wrong but looks like I can get them on ebay. Thbe rear fender is bent and the PO sanded it to paint it but lost interest. I will need the side plastics too they are brittle.

Thats pretty cool. Parts will be fun to find. I found a couple good sources as I'm finishing up a 65 YJ2 myself. One is Boats.net and rustyriders and NWVintagecycles. Good luck.

Thats a beauty, I'd run nothing but high grade 2 stroke oil in it myself.

I run the Lucas Synthetic that they claim has low smoke.:roflBut the K11p has oil injection.

Bought some Craftsman oil for the little M31, it's premix, but I like the Lucas better.
