My 2012 690R has been flawless so far with almost 2,000 miles of street, dualsport, adventure and single track use.

    Today? Yes.

Ask me at the end of another riding season.

But realistically, I'd most likely say yes.

Nothing matches the 690 for lightweight, grunty agility.
Never ceases to put a $hi# eating grin on my face!

Such an awesome platform for so many riding styles. And, my dog, the power is simply addictive. If ever there was a bike that flips a switch in a rational man towards "hooligan", its this bike for me...

As theres still nothing else out there that is better suited for my riding requirements, yes I would buy another 690. If someone were to make a 590 adventure things might change in an awfull hurry though. :D

There really just aren't any other choices if you want a powerful lightweight large bore dual sport.

I had one. It suited me for a while, but now I have a 950 Adventure and a 530XC-W. I’d buy a 690 [if] KTM would make it into an adventure—a smaller version of the 950 Adventure.
