The reservoir is turned because of 450 RR rear tank. Otherwise it is 690's Factory Trax.

The fitting is quick coupling for oil cooler hoses. Banjo bolts are difficult to access on 690 engine when changing engine.

Ok, I've searched this thread and various others with no luck....

Busted one of my front tanks (450 rally ones) in the Hellas rally, and need to know what type of plastic they're made of. It's just a small crack, so hopefully I can just "weld" it together with some plastic weld... :deal

    Thanks for any help!

That's heat-reflective foil to keep engine heat at bay from air intake.

Most likely getting a 15mph speed advantage, and making bike the non-crashable ;-)

With the oil cooler,if it gets damaged and leaks can you plug the 2 banjo fittings on the engine caseings?,or do you require a bridge/loop line between the two oil galleries on the engine for oil flow.

    hi 690rr

yes i have also a different frame on my 690rr. Besides what you mention the the rear shock is mounted differently than on standard. how come the 450 rear tank fits in our mount, it does not look modified ???

    Cheers

This frame looks like the normal road going frame found on the 690 E and R. It may not be the same but it looks a lot like it.

For comparison here is my 2008 690E frame:

There are definite differences with brackets and mounting points. I see the front tubing work is quite a bit beefier on the rally frame.

Does anyone know if our front/rear wheels are generic/ and can be run on a 570 husaburg 2012 model?

The front wheels off the Husaberg will fit as will the EXC Wheels. The only rear wheel that works in addition to the stock one is one off of a 640.

Edit...this holds true for the E/R bikes...not sure if the rally wheels are any different. Also the front rotors on the E/R bikes are larger than the EXC...not sure about the Berg.

    Me? :D

The Rally uses a 30mm axle front wheel, but you can use it on the Berg if you swap the wheel spacers for 26mm ones from a normal EXC/SX/Berg.

The 690 rear hub is too wide for any of the smaller than 690 KTMs. As Seth said, only the 640 rear wheel will interchange between all 125-660 KTMs/Husabergs.

    125-570 KTM/Berg use a 260mm disc, 640/660/690 Enduro and Rally all 300mm.

The Rally caliper will bolt right onto the Berg forks however, it's a nice upgrade in braking power for fast riding, bigger pistons and more leverage. I've got one on my 570 that I used in the Tuareg Rally:

Has anyone got a spare airbox they want to sell?
I already have the airfilter and air filter cage/mount.

I'm looking for the early style that uses the long filter (same as the 660 filter I believe)
The 2010 rr has a different airbox with a smaller filter that is tilted forward similar to the enduro model.

It doesn't take much sand riding to cover the airfilter in sand thrown up from the front wheel.

    Cheers.

    Joe

So if you are thinking of converting your 690RR to the 450rr rear tank contact Andrea he'll get you sorted
