I am planning on purchasing a 690 Enduro in the near future and came across this thread with the 690 Wiki. To everyone that has contributed to the Wiki, I want to say thank you and great job.

Wiki's about to go down for the server move. It may be offline for a few days.

Wiki is back up. However the new landlord/owner of the house's router box needs updates to fill a few security holes. It should all be squared away in another day or two.

    Thanks for the patience. :freaky

Generally if you just want to add text you can just hit the edit button at the top of the page you want to add text to.

To create a new page go to the page you want the link to be on and edit it. Next, add the name of the new page in double brackets.

    [[New Page Name Here]]

Then save the edited page which will take you back to that page (with the new edited link) the new link appears in red. To create that page just click the link and that'll take you to edit the new page; and so on and so fourth.

If you want to add pictures you'll have to create an account by clicking the create account button in the upper right corner; after you create an account (and you don't need to put an email in fyi) there'll be an upload file button on the left side. To add pictures into a wiki page simply use the wikicode: [[File:Somefilenamehere.jpg]]. If you upload the pictures first make sure the "Somefilenamehere.jpg" is exactly the filename for what you uploaded.

What I highly recommend for pictures is putting the wiki page together without uploading the pictures first. Then when you save the edited page with say three pictures for example since pictures with those filenames don't exist on the wiki yet you can click on the picture links (which will appear in red) which will then take you to the upload page with the filename filled in automatically.

    Example:
    [[File:Somefilenamehere1.jpg]]

    [[File:Somefilenamehere2.jpg]]

    [[File:Somefilenamehere3.jpg]]

It sounds kind of confusing but after you do it once or twice it's not a big deal.

    Here's a couple videos:

whilst working on the bike i saw that the fan housing also rubs on the coolant hose at the lower RH corner of the fan.

i filed a bit of the plastic away to get clearance.

    might be worth adding.

There is some very useful information regarding the changes in triple clamp/ axle lug offset changes from the 08-11 model vs 12+ model year 690's and how it affects turning radius here: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=890515

with a good diagram to show the differences too!:

Whelp after a move, and internet issues and then server hardware issues we look like we're back online. Sorry for the outage everyone! I am collaborating with my brother to get some sort of hot replication between our servers in the future to be outage resistant.

F'in spammers. I've been a lazy whore with the wiki for awhile and I think it's time for some lovin'. I have a backup I made awhile ago and I'll compare it to what's on there now to migrate any related information over. I think I'll also be turning off posting and will have to do it myself and/or will disable account creation and will make that a manual process to avoid the hordes of spammers.

It's also somewhat time for a valve check on the bike and I'll make sure to get pictures this time :lol3 and will try for a video.

My knee is also now good enough to actually bend it too (had open-knee surgery in October) which makes working on the bike a pleasant experience.
