Pinay Ako, Thanks for the additional photos, They show how nice not only the riding is but, the people, and the country. As I have said, in other postings, for the life of me, I can't see why the Philippines has not been over run with foreign Adventure riders.

Three days in the rain will test anyone.

A nice place to ride, a nice place to relax, and nice eats, looks like it was a fun trip. (Glad to see you guys saved the Halo-Halo for the end of the meal.)

very cool rr and lots of nice pics. i'm impressed to see you young adv riders on small bikes.

here in the usa, we trailer small bikes....:lol3 only saw once a 125 ridden by an australian kid touring california and a korean kid on a 50cc did a cross country.

looking forward to see more of your adventurers.....:lurk

yeah.. whenever im somewhere for a ride (especially in the mountains where one will rarely see vehicles passing) the kids & the people cheer when they notice im a girl.

but of course they also cheer for my ride buddies (just a louder one for me)

and sometimes, when i pass by a group having a picnic beside the falls or beach, they invite us for a hefty meal (if i just have a lil space in my tummy for that, i will really give in :D )

there probably are some foreigners who tour some parts of the philippines on two wheels... but maybe they don't know this site? that's why they don't share their experiences here? i duno... just maybe.

even just a day of riding in the rain in a very cold place gives me that chill!

    BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR........

no, i ate the Halo-halo alternately with the pansit palabok.

i love the contrasting taste of a salty/sour against the sweetness of the dessert :1drink

here in the PI, majority owns and rides small bikes (considering the financial capability, road/traffic condition & fuel efficiency)

BUT there are the young ONES & ONCE who also have big bikes (but not alot u will see on the roads)

here in the PI, SOME trailer their big bikes :D to get to some roads that are more worthy of the superbike's speed and agility.

    thanks for viewing :norton

my only shot during the entire ride (courtesy of another rider)

it was my first time to do the North Loop so i kept on asking the passersby for directions.

1,080 kms. for a day on my small bike.

i was alone most of the time.

on the latter part of the event, i was lucky to have joined a group who was also participants of the event.

and before the finish line, there was the last gas stop.

they said they will wait for me...

and i was left all alone.

the zigzag of Naguillan Road all the way to Baguio City (finish line) i was almost freezing, my hands and body trembling becoz of too much cold.

i was almost crying to death being alone in the zigzag at 2 in the morning.

the whole place is really creepy.....

BUT in the end it was rewarding.

Please tell us more about this North Loop.

    1080 K, that is what 680 miles?

On a 125cc, how long did it take you? And do you think that you will ever do it again?

    I forgot your young.

1,080 kms. = 671.080 miles (according to google)

it took me about 23 hours and 36 minutes for that loop.

IF i get a higher displacement bike, "maybe" i'll do it again for a reason.

    but for just accomplishing it?

    not anymore....

me on a 125 cc bike did it in 24 hours....

anybody on a higher displacement bike can definitely do it less than that (unless the bike or the rider bugs down :D )

the ride started in POINT 2 (Manila)
(it was exactly in Taguig BUT it's not written there
[or i just did not find it there?])

then POINT 13 (Bulacan), 24 (Cagayan) then to the left --- Sanchez Mira, Pagupud, all the way to Laoag which is POINT 22

    then POINT 21.... POINT 20

POINT 29 (BAGUIO) --- Finish Line

Boy, or rather GIRL, to maintain an average of over 28 mph for 23.6 hours going through all of those towns with traffic, gas stops and all, that is great. That is a trip you can tell your Grandchildren about.

Thanks for the map, that will sure help people who are not familiar with the area understand just what you did.

You are showing what a joy motorcycling can be. This proves the size of the bike does not determine how much fun you can have.

Thank you for showing us your trips.

i can't make-up my mind until 5 in the afternoon of Saturday for this ride the next day.....

i was thinking if is it worth it? will i see something different?

    so, here i am....

4am was our take-off time somewhere in my province (Bulacan [north of Manila]).

so i got there 20 minutes earlier.

after 10 minutes, i got an SMS from my riding buddy.... "Go ahead, i'll catch up on u in Marcos highway"

    So, i went ahead....

and i waited for him for an hour there...

and i realized, i better go.

so i sent him an SMS saying that i'll wait for him in Laguna.

and being solo on the ride, i have all the time to do a slow-pace ride

i think this was around 6:20am on my way to antipolo down to Sampaloc, Rizal

and after a while.... on my side mirror i saw a familiar image...

    and so we went together...

stopped in Famy for gas and a cleansing breakfast of orange :D

i don't eat other foods aside from fruits in the morning
small appetite (just in the morning. in the evening i eat like a king)

we geared up and went ahead to Lucban BUT we lost contact of each other

my tent which i rigged on the grill of my bike was moving. might fall so i stopped to rig it tighter.

then i had some cookies coz im a lil tired and sleepy

so, i got an SMS from him when i was already in the town of Lucban saying i better go ahead and we'll meet in Mauban Port.

so i asked the bystanders for directions

and i was elated by what i saw...

vast field of coconut trees alongside the road...

instead of speeding up to the port to get to my destination, i just maintained a 40 kph speed to enjoy the beauty of nature.

was so excited that i didn't even remember to take pictures of it

    on and on and on..............

on the town of Mauban, was enchanted by this...

    very new to my eyes...

the locals say this is where they get the wine of SASA
(duno how it does taste.. i'm not a drinker :1drink )

i almost dropped that thing... it was sooooooo heavy.. by the look of it u can tell..... (but i can still smile)...... the local whom i requested to have my picture taken was taking a lil long to click my cam :D

    my ever reliable bike
    (forgot to take-off the bench)

    better shot

and finally i was reunited with my friend.

so we had lunch and waited for the boat at 3pm.

    i was feeling dizzy.....

but i can't frown on the cam!

i was afraid.. but then seeing those made me relaxed...

and here are our tour guides

sorry for the guy with a cap... he was somehow insane at that moment :rofl

    the island by 6pm

    our snack

    yeah...... i know...... i look haggard :D

    my little friend..

    is that a firefly?????

    or a lighter?

i thought it was a star... my niece said it was venus
    [IMG]

what my cam can see at night...

yes.. we camped... under the cottage :D
    [IMG]

    sunrise, 5:30am
    [IMG]

    is this better?

    spot the not...

    can u tell the difference?

    Congrats!
The beauty that is Cagbalete Island is really worth the trip.
And when another beauty paid a visit, it is worth remembering.
You are showing the skills that you have acquired from Toxicrn
when it comes to picture taking.
    Kudos!

during low tide, 50 meters away from the shore is still knee-deep

but it was still high tide when we were at the beach.... when we were about to leave for the boat ride, it was when i saw people far, far away from us walking farther from the shore

If you want to see something neat, go to the Pacific Northwet site, in Regional Forums, and look at the video at post # 768 in the Eastside Meetups.
