op here. Love the revival of this thread: more more more!
I'm new to the ADV forum, but I've been following (http://raresportbikesforsale.com/) for a while and thought this thread would be a nice place to plug it. If you need a titled CA 2-stroke RZ350 or Bimota race bike, try there.
But, from reading this thread it looks like alot of you like the ZRX, so here is one for you, with lots of go fast bits:
Where is that drool smiley thing?
Bull Dock Kawasaki Z1
ADVed VFR1000?! :huh
Icon again doing all they can to make motorcycling look cartoonish and all about brands/branding vs riding. Their interpretation of a Main Force Patrol bike like Goose rode in Mad Max.
I bought this 89 fj1200 from a friend for $1700. Its in Cherry cond with 38k original miles. Runs awesome. Aftermkt brakes and exhaust. The thing is a rocket ship. Scary fast. I baught it thinking maybe selling in spring to make some $$ but just love this bike and have decided to keep.
FJ's are one of my alltime favoroates and that black and gold sure beats the hell outof the orignal red & white. Very nice indeed
Had a 83 gs1100e that scared the pants off me. Love my zrx.
My '78 Z1000 was black - but not now......
My MkII 1392cc Sprinter......
DID I MENTION I LOVE MY OLD MUSCLE BIKES>>>>>
Building a HARRIS MAGNUM I - Z1000....
....and not a Honda in sight
Bol d'Or Classic at Magny Cours, France.
Yes, I know this is an old thread but...do you guys get this baby in the States? If I had to part ways with my beloved Rex, I'd own one of these
Perhaps one of these?
The GPZ750 Turbo is the bike that got me hooked on motorcycles while a teen. I still want one:
I actually think that is a pretty good interpretation of what a police force would be using in a post apocalyptic world. Probably more accurate than the KZ1100 Goose used in the movie.
That being said, I really really want to build a blacked and gold KZ1100 with the same fairing as Goose's MFP bike. I'd keep a 2 person saddle on it though and add in some aluminum panniers. I think it would make a really sweet retro/custom sport tourer.
I also have to admit, that if the world were to go the hell and I had to choose a motorcycle as my only means of transportation I would probably just go with a first gen KLR650. It probably is the ultimate post apocalypse motorcycle.
Nightrider: The Toecutter - he knows who I am. I am the Nightrider! I am the chosen one. The mighty hand of vengeance, sent down to strike the unroadworthy! I'm hotter than a rollin' dice. Step right up, chum, and watch the kid lay down the rubber road, ride to freedom!
Sounds funny after all these years...great movie BTW

Not sure if you guys are familiar with Stone. This is the movie that started it all for us way back in the seventies. Try to ignore the bad acting and strange accents....LOL!!
