    Eldo running kind of.

    Kind of.

It's spitting back through the right carb
Runs best with mixture screws all the way in
Rattling from timing cover. It goes away if I touch if I just touch it with a screw driver, maybe pulley is rubbing.
The strange thing is, watch the video and you will see what looks like gold sparks around the header, but they are to slow for sparks.

    Love your new gas tank.

What are those doohickeys on your headers? The golden sparks are really strange., might just be your digital camera. Plugs and wires all tight?

Sparks ended up being carbon flying out from a lose header. Easy fix. I just need to get the carbs sorted out ,running to lean.

No air box hooked up. I need to get some pod filters of some sort. I'm missing the rubber connector between the carburetors and the air box. They don't seem to around. Plenty for the Delortos but not the Amals. I can't see it running so lean without the air box that you have to have the pilot screws all the way in.

Had some time to mess with the Eldo, thought it was time to leave the garage, first time bike has been on the road since the early 80's, I still need to adjust the brakes better and get my brake light working, it was and now it's not.

It's been about 2 years since I brought her home, pretty much sorted out, runs really nice .had some carb issues ,some ignition problems, just need the brakes to work better. But she looks nice in late evening fall light.

[IMG]Getting cold around here in the AM so I mounted the Wixom faring that came with the bike, I have to say say it is a really good faring, blocks the wind and no turbulence. It is kind of funky but I like the oversize turn signals.[IMG]

I'll still working on the brakes, getting them to stop better. I think I'm going to get new shoes over the winter. The ones on there are green with metallic specks. I did the sandpaper in the drums trick which helped a lot went from oh sh*t I'm not stopping to oh my god that was close. It doesn't help my main ride is a Buell Uly with 2 finger stopping not 4 fingers and squeeze like hell!

I learned how to ride on this... equipped with Gentle Retardation Devices, front and rear.:D
    [IMG]

Luckily, with about 22 screaming ponies available, I could never get moving fast enough to require much more than the GRD's...:rofl

Then I got this.... and of course grabbed the front brake with Gusto and Determination and Holy F&%$#(**^*&%^ Shit!!!! I'm about to go over teakettle. Pre ABS...

I think this is a wonderful compromise between the two...

It's got enough nut to stop the bike, but doesn't feel overdone.

I still ride like everything has drums. Lotso distance between Me and everything else!
