Surely there is a better solution out there, anybody?

This price was from an online vendor, my dealer showed them for around $60 each.

We're running Synergy seals in the 450's, 125 and 640A. Excellent seals and they run about $45.00/set.

What's in the "kit". If its all the seals (dust and oil) and bushings then that's not a bad price at all. If its for one oil seal:eek1

The kit comes with one seal and one dust cover. That's just for one fork.

Don't feel too bad I buy o-rings for GM that are about 1/2" dia. that can cost upwards of $80-100 each. They buy hundreds at a time too.
DOW or Dupont and the plastic is a super special blend and you pay for it out the A%& to get it, like it or not.

How long do they last when properly cared for?

    Since they seal oil in, and (try to) keep dust out, all the while sliding UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN UP-DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like a fair price to me. :lol3

    Well, not me really...

I took the seal out, pulled the springs, cut a little off each one, put them back together. They seem to be holding oil for now.
I found some aftermarket ones ($15 for the pair) that should fit, we'll see when I get them. If they work out, I'll post the information in case anyone else wants to save a few bucks on theirs.

I get my Laverda fork seals from the local seal shop. I'm sure you have at least one in OKC. Take one in, I'll bet they can fix you up for $10- $15/ leg. :deal

If you must have WP parts, FWIW, *list* on the KTM seal kit (per leg) is ~$66 for the 50mm WP's. P/N R906. You should be able to get them for ~$50 each if you shop around.

I've always have great luck with Synergy seals myself anyway.
