Planning on trailering my XR650R & XR400R from Pa. Wanting to see what you westerner's have to offer. Traveling in a RV, made reservation in the resort. Pulling in the third and leaving the tenth. Hope there is plenty to do for a week long stay!!!!!!!! Looking forward to meeting some of the Left Coaster's.

Paid and in! This will likely be the last "hurrah" of a year of RV/Motorcycle travels. I'll be RV camping and staying a week. Bringing either my KTM 950ADV or 1190ADV for the big bike rides. Really looking forward to this one.

I will be riding my F800GS from Vegas. I registered for the $75.00 camping included fee. Do I need to tell Zion Ponderosa to reserve a spot for me or do you have a block of sites reserved?

I'm in. I'll be bringing my DRZ400s on the hitch carrier on my Jeep.

Question about the organized rides... Does the group split up based on ability? Hope so. I've been on a dual sport for a year after a 20-year break (previously on sport bikes).

If you paid $75 you have 3 nights of dry camping paid for and do not need to make a reservation with ZPR. I will have your information and will have your wrist band. I will have a table set up in our group area handling those who paid and handing out swag bags.

What if the boss wants to come and bring the clan n the Cass A? What should I do? If that's a pain, I'll just do the Jeep with the 450 on the hitch carrier and keep them at home. Thanks!

When will we get more detail on the agenda for the event? The daily agendas on the web site are listed as TBD.

I would like to hear more about the agenda too. At this point, I do believe that I will be attending though.

The Zion Ponderosa is a very nice facility, albiet a bit rustic. The grounds are hilly and grass and tree-coverered, and it's kind of spread out all over with an RV area, cabins, tent space, a pool, and central activity 'yard' with a zipline thingie, and a very nice lodge. The event area is off at the edge of the property in a moreorless undeveloped area of it, with tent space and dirt roads. You might be able to get back there and get a spot, or perhaps even just camp on one of the access roads. The event reserves the whole area there and management was very helpful in finding me spot to get into. But I'm a helluva lot more maneuverable in a 31-footer than you are with your bus. But at a minimum you could get setup in the open area adjacent to the event and more near the lodge.

So yeah, if you're going to bring your rig they'll figure out how to accommodate you. Where we were there were no facilities or hookups, but they had started building a bathroom house close by when we were there last year. Not sure if that got done or not. Perhaps GeoMoto can comment on that.

The area is ripe for exploring, by bike, car, or jeep/4X4. We didn't even take the bikes last year - just the pickup truck and drove to Toroweep one day, Navajo Lake and Cedar Breaks in Dixie Forest one day. We had a ball, nice big campfire and a great view up on top of the hill behind the event tent-space area.

    Couple'a pics from last year...

Stopped at Valley of Fire SP north of Vegas to overnight it on the way there. Since it's about 475 miles we like to do it in 2 legs.
What no one mentioned was if you take the hiway out of Saint George you go THROUGH Zion Park. I had no idea. I pulled up to the kiosk at the entrance and the ranger looked at the rig and told me did I know I needed to take my tow off - my Colorado 4x4. And I had to pay a special fee to 'drive through the tunnel' (what tunnel?) with the RV since they had to stop traffic so we could drive in the center of the lanes for height clearance. And the toad wouldn't make it around the corners. I was like WTF!!! So we drove through the park, ol' lady drove the truck, and I white-knuckled it through the tunnel. We made it, but on the return leg we went through Kanab and back the south hiway through Colorado City (polygammy town :lol3) and back to Saint George. WAAAAAYYYY easier route with the RV.
